2 Nights and Very Little Cooling Effect

Spoke with online customer service and they said the unit was functioning properly. That the temp dropped form 81 to 70. while we were chatting. THe outside temp is 70 and the unit makes my room feel like 90 degrees.
My app says 84, the unit is producing tremendous heat. I have a window open and a fan on the unit to try to cool it ok. The bed is not 70. Defiently feel like a couple of months ago when the unit was bad and they had to send a replacement. I spent 45 with chat support and Mischelle responded twice.
I understand that things dont always work, but to gaslight me and say the unit is functioning properly is crap. The best thing Orion had was customer service unfortunately its just not up to par.

First Sleep Insights

Finally got my first sleep insights recommendation… LFG! 🎉
It’s been a six-month process with the app and software updates. While I don’t fully understand the entire roadmap, I really appreciate the steady progress Orion continues to make.
It’s exciting to see the platform evolving, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
Thank you to the Orion team for continuing to push forward.

Updated Orion Sleep Grades

The connection definitely needed to be improved, and in my opinion it has. So kudos to the team for addressing that issue.
I love the idea of more flexibility with temperature adjustments. However, I have no idea how to use it. I added the app to ChatGPT, but it doesn’t recognize it. If this is going to be a core feature, it needs to be much more user-friendly.
My biggest question is: why isn’t this functionality built directly into the Orion app? I shouldn’t have to be a software developer to understand how to use all the features of a premium sleep product.
The app is still light years behind 8 Sleep. We’re approaching six months, and progress feels slow with no clear roadmap or direction from a user perspective.
A few additional thoughts:
• The lack of a physical control button is a huge miss. I didn’t think it would bother me, but I hate having to light up the bedroom with my phone to make adjustments. It doesn’t feel premium.
• The hardware works very well. After adjusting the unit placement and receiving a replacement device, overheating is no longer an issue.
• What I really want is for the sensors and AI to automatically adjust temperature based on my sleep and room conditions. I shouldn’t have to build a 12-step temperature schedule. The system should learn and optimize for me.
We took a chance on Orion as an early startup customer, and I’m starting to regret that decision. Six months should have been enough time to address many of the app’s core usability issues.
Current Grades:
Hardware: B-
Performs well overall
Missing physical controls/buttons
Software: D-
Difficult to use
Key features feel unfinished
Too much complexity for the user
Customer Service: A+
Responsive
Helpful
Clearly trying to support customers
Overall: C-
The hardware has a lot of potential, but the software experience is holding the product back. Right now, the app feels like the weakest part of an otherwise promising system.

Night Sleep Mode ??!

Last night I got cold so I hit the buttons to warm it up and it would keep going back to the set schedule.

Am I doing something wrong?

Why even have the night mode and buttons to adjust if you have to go back into the main screen and adjust the scheduled temps to make it adjust.
