Why do people behave like this. I really want to know
First ranked game of the night after a bunch of losses in quick play because I’m trying to learn Elsa.
Our human torch was originally going to play Dino but 3 of our teammates said naw he ain’t and decided to ban Devil Dino. Me, torch and the third try and ban Penny but the ban ended up working in their favor. He then decided to throw and go Widow stating that they shouldn’t have banned his player, which they shouldn’t have, and that he doesn’t care if we lose. After me begging this grown man to be an adult and stop acting like a child he says he will play but he won’t swap off widow.
He proceeds to do little to nothing as Widow and doesn’t swap even when I ask him to just so we stand a better chance, me thinking he only plays Dino .
We lost the first round on attack because of a lack of damage output. In the prep phase for the 2nd round he then proceeded to flash a bunch of lord icons saying “it sucks that no one can counter swap” and continues to act like a baby instead of swapping to any of his lord or above characters.
If my team banned Magik when I had her selected, which happens at times, I wouldn’t toss the match just because I can’t play her and I’ve been playing mainly her from S2 until they dropped Rogue in S5.
I sweat my balls off trying to win and this dude is still mouthing off like a toddler. He only goes human torch (which he isn’t lord or above on btw) at the last minute and is still not playing right. In the end we won but why. JUST WHY I GENUINELY WANT TO KNOW
Why be like this? Why queue up for a team game and, the second things don’t go your way, decide to throw? What’s the point of being miserable and dragging everyone else down with you, even the people who tried helping you at the start? Just play the game and try to win.
Why ruin another person’s enjoyment and progress over someone else’s choices that you didn’t like?
(Not everyone is like this in rivals but I seem to only run into these types of people)
