It could happen!

Without wishing to rehash the Man U - City game decisions again that are discussed in other threads, what bothers me about these obviously wrong decisions which the referees body then takes back within hours is that CITY STILL HAVE THREE POINTS when they shouldn't have. Utd have no points when they may have got one. That affects the outcome of the league. If City win the league now by three points or less the ref and VAR have effectively won them the title. This is completely wrong in terms of a fair competition. Perhaps some will say it evens out over a season. Does it? I just can;t get my head around how wrong it is in an age of technology where we are supposed to be getting everything right that something so obviously wrong and waved off after a video review process is just brushed aside. People say "the game has gone" for a joke but, really, the game has gone. For me, refereeing is in disarray and far from the VAR promised land its made things even worse whilst sucking the joy out of every goal.

It seems that these two are the preferred players by Glasner for one of two ten roles. Last time out against Spurs Glasner preferred to start with Ndoye which bugged me no end since I see Ndoye as a show pony with no substance. (Other views are available.) Jesus, to me, seems by far the better all round player with a much higher work rate. He can knit play together and contribute to moves. Given that Delap is going to be the striker and MGW the other ten for the foreseeable, it makes sense to me that Jesus be the third attacker as the better all round player than Ndoye. About the only thing Ndoye does well is sometimes get on the end of things. But he isn't going to be the striker so what is the point of him?

Whilst we wait to find out who we've actually signed for the season let's have a little "what if" fun. Setting aside all financial considerations, which Premier League player from another club would you sign for Forest if you were the boss?

What's going on with the transfer? Not seen its been rejected. So why is he in the Palace squad?

Saturday's game against Leeds will have been very familiar to fans who have seen a lot of Forest in the Prem these past four years. There was not a lot of threat and although we had a couple of goal chances we never really threatened to score. We have seen where that led in the past even though guys like Big T and Wood have done the necessary to keep us in the division. Last season Morgan also stepped up. That aside, the regular issue across the four years has been goal threat. This is both about creating chances to begin with but also converting when they are made. The short answer is we need to sign a striker, and a good one, by a week tomorrow when the window closes. I mean someone who is straight in the team and could be the figurehead number 9 for the next 2 or 3 years. If we don't I expect another relegation scrap - and that isn't going to go down well with anybody.

1. We need a striker. Whether that's Delap or Igor Thiago or someone else or whoever.

2. Ndoye is never going to be anymore than a Freuler on the wing. Not necessarily a bad player but just doesn't do it for us. If you are one of those who thinks Jesus is bad then Ndoye is so much worse and without his goals or assists to back him up. In fact, Jesus is so much better than Ndoye at Ndoye's job.

Given the squad we have right now (which includes most of the guys who finished 7th two seasons ago), where will Forest finish in the 26-27 season? Feel free to comment on your reasons below. Note: I am not asking where you want them to finish but where you genuinely think they will.

At one point about 30 minutes in he says he couldn't get the players to understand the "work ethic" required to be "the best of the best". These same players then went on an unbeaten run topping the goal scoring charts after he'd been given the sack. Basically he was working them to death and neglecting things like skill, tactics and freedom to express yourself.
