Gap Between Splash Shield and Underbody

Try to get the best photo that I can but I realize that there were screws missing from the bottom of the splash panel. So I pulled a screw and I'm going to get some more but would it makes sense to put caulk between where the splash panel and that black tarp like material be? This way I can keep water out?

New To Me 2021 Gulfstream Ameri-Lite Super Lite 188RB

List price was $9998. Got this for $11k OTD, inspection, prep, doc fee was included, had to pay taxes and added on gap insurance. Can't wait to go on many adventures.

I'm looking for something with a walk-around queen sized bed (North to South), wet bath and interior kitchen. 20 feet or less, can be a bit longer. 3800 GVWR or less. My budget is $13k or less OTD. Financing in hand. I am in Pennsylvania, ready to buy this week or next.
