So this Geodude was the first shiny I have EVER encountered. I was 9 at the time and was playing with my sister on her Pokémon Pearl when we found it near Celestic Town, I think. Neither of us even knew what a shiny was, but it was just too cool and strange not to catch it. She eventually stopped playing Pokémon a couple years later, so I kept her game and never restarted it. About 5 years later, I wanted to replay a Sinnoh game again and I bought a copy of Platinum for something like 10€ on eBay. I restarted it a total of 3 times because I didn't care too much about keeping my files at that time.

The first run went normally, but in Victory Road I encountered the shiny Graveler in the 2nd pic. I was unprepared, I threw a Quick Ball that failed, and it obviously used Explosion on the very first turn :)

I decide to reset the game about a year later, and I find another shiny Graveler, the one in the 3rd pic, in the route south of Veilstone City. I was again unprepared and it exploded too :)))

Fast forward another year later, on my last ever run I did on Platinum, this time I knew something was up. I was feeling it in me. The game went on normally, and I never encountered anything strange... Until the Victory Road again, where I found ANOTHER shiny Graveler!!! This time, I had a Quagsire with the Damp ability, which funnily enough I actually didn't realize it stopped Explosion until this encounter (The Graveler tried exploding on the very first turn too, lol). Aaaaaand I caught it! I don't know what the chances are for something like this to happen, but I sure felt lucky finding the little golden nugget that exploded in my hands a couple times :3

I then kept the game file as it was and Shiny Golem ended up becoming my favourite Pokémon too, because I just came to think she just chose me
