Eye focusing with (new) programmable M Blue valve.

Does anyone have experience with a feeling in the eyes—as if they are constantly trying to focus?

My husband recently had his shunt replaced, switching from a non-programmable GAV to an programmable M. Blue model.

This was his third surgery in nine weeks, and they performed various procedures each time (replacing the valve twice, a section of tubing, and the reservoir; they also attempted an ETV).

So we don't know whether it's just a matter of getting used to things and adjusting, or if something still isn't quite right.

Recovery after ETV - pressure behind eyes

My husband has had a VP shunt since he was a baby.

During a recent surgery (they've replaced the shunt), they also made an ETV.

Now, around 3-4 weeks after the surgery, he has a lot of pain behind his eyes. His vision is a bit blurry, but he feels quite intense pressure behind his eyes.

Are there any people who had an ETV, and experienced the pressure behind the eyes?

We've already been to the hospital to get a scan, but they show nice and average sized ventricles (which was the first time in 6 years).

So is it possible that his body just needs to adjust to this new way of getting the fluids out? Or is this maybe a sign for another issue?

Besides the ETV, he still has the VP shunt. So i guess his body might use both ways to get the fluids out.

Maybe that's the reason why this pain came up after 2,5 weeks after the surgery?

Does anyone have experience with this feeling, and how long did it take until this feeling went away?
