The Isle gained a lot of traction when streamers started playing on that one big voip server and now there’s a bunch of servers setting up their own voip. I’ve played on plenty of these voip servers and it can be fun but the vibe is completely different. It feels like the people that are drawn to these servers are there just to mess around as if the map is just one big lobby.

I didn’t have a huge problem with it until now because there were only a handful on these servers but now there’s voip everywhere and some servers are even making it mandatory (really??), which ruins the experience for those of us who don’t want to listen to people make weird noises, yell out slurs, and just enjoy the isle as it was meant to be enjoyed.

Voip makes good streamer content but it takes away from the game in my opinion. I know there’s plenty of servers right now without voip but I worry that more and more will go down the voip rabbit hole.

I’ve been playing the Isle for a long time now and I like to rotate between different servers. There’s always been issues with admins in some servers but lately I’ve been encountering a lot of admins across various servers that don’t even attempt to conceal their admin abilities.

Apparently I’m not allowed to “talk shit” about specific servers in this subreddit but many of you probably know exactly which servers I’m talking about here.

I’ve seen admins grow themselves right in front of me, spawn corpses on top of themselves, and teleport right on top of me or near me. It’s also very obvious when they have player names enabled and track my location so they can find and kill me.

These incidences have really started to ruin the game for me. I almost want to start playing official servers again and just deal with hackers instead.

Just to give some examples, I was on one server and there were 5 admins playing deinos in delta. I knew they had grown themselves because they were bouncing/flying which usually happens when you use admin commands to grow a dino. I saw them spawn corpses on top of themselves and on the beach and when players would get anywhere near the water they would eat them. They clearly knew how to play deino because they would launch themselves about 20 feet out of the water. They got two of my friends. I decided to tease them from a safe distance and one of them got so mad he teleported behind me.

On another server I encountered a fg rex that ambushed me from a bush. I was too big to pin and had friends with me so he ended up running away. I thought it was weird that we couldn’t find him after that and when I checked my F2 recording I found out the rex was an admin who had teleported away.

I’m working full time (40 hr/week) right now and I feel so exhausted both mentally and physically. I’m suppose to start vet school in August and I want to give my two weeks notice now but my friends and family think I need to just work through whatever time I have left so I can save more money.

Is the extra money worth it if I’m this burnt out already? Should I give myself a small break before school?

While playing on an official hordetest server I saw three dino’s run by me with bright pink skins. As far as I know, you can’t get skins like that in official servers, so were these people hacking?

What is the point?

A lot of servers have a no 3rd partying rule, where basically you can’t engage in a fight between two individuals/packs you aren’t associated with.

It’s not very realistic though, especially if you’re playing a scavenger whose whole purpose is to take advantage of situations where bigger dino’s are weakened or stealing food you haven’t killed yourself.

I’m curious. There’s a lot of “low rules” servers out there, which seem to be preferred by most players, but they all seem to have different variations of rules. So which rules are a MUST HAVE and which rules do you hate to see?

My friends and I are looking to make some discord bots for our own server so we can mess around with skins, storing dino’s, and teleporting, but we have no clue where to start. We’d prefer no to spend money on a service but we also aren’t super knowledgeable about this stuff. Can anyone point us in the right direction or help?

Why play just one or two dinos instead of trying to master all the different dinos? I understand having favorites or one dino that you go back to a lot but I’ve met a good chunk of people who have 100+ hours in the game and have never played some of the dinos.

I’m interested in applying for the HPSP but I’m not exactly sure where I can reach out to a recruiter. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it!
