Beckett Von Investigations

"Y'know, say what you like about the so-called 'Ruinous Powers', ever since the Hive fell to these tentacle-worshippers, business has certainly picked up."

"If you mean that the attempts on your life have tripled, Beckett, then...yes."

"Which means I'm worth trying to kill. Ergo, I'm a very sought-after commodity."

^("A very shot-at one, perhaps.")

"Sorry, K'harl, I didn't quite catch that."

"Speaking of 'catching', sire, a new client is waiting your you in your office."

"Excellent. Anything I should know before I meet them?"

"She's a teacher, concerned someone, or something, may be stalking her class."

"Sounds...rather banal, K'harl."

"I might add, she's a Khornate devotee and claims to have killed this stalker several times, but it keeps coming back. She's getting...agitated."

"Ah."

"I'd hurry, if I were you. She'd going to run out of furniture to break eventually."

The Filthy 115th - Beastman Rocketeer

Getting back on my BS (Beastman Stuff) and actually drawing some art of the 115th.

Sometimes 'psychological warfare' boils down to 'deleting a chaos worshipper with an anti-tank round'.

I've played a couple of games now with our big angry lad and drawn a few conclusions:

  • His reactive move ability mostly encourages your opponent to keep their distance. Not the worst thing in the world when facing melee armies who have no choice, but anything with half decent shooting will simply go 'lmao' and blast you. Still, stuffing a 9" Deep Strike unit or a nasty potential charge is very nice when it happens. Pairs beautifully with Graves to shut down units that fall back.
  • Splashing Orders is fabulous in the late game where you might be suffering on Order economy. Hopping Yarrick out of a Stormlord and giving Take Aim to it, himself and the two tanks escorting it for one Order is hilarious.
  • Re-rolling Leadership and Battleshock is highly circumstantial but I could see it being useful vs Tyranids or if you really need to hold a point without Insane Bravery.
  • His combat ability is shocklingly solid when paired with Catachans. With Grizzled, his Bale Eye hits on 2+ re-rolling 1's, and his Power Klaw hits the same, only at S8 and +1 to wound, he's able to wound Knights on a 4+ which is rather nutty.
  • That said, I think he's a smidge overcosted at 150pts right now. At 130-140 I think he'd be reasonable.
