ISO: Missing Tax Returns

Hey Michigan! I have a friend who works in taxes, and I’m putting out a PSA:

Michigan is doing some weird stuff with taxes this year, lots of audits on state returns (and not telling people they’re getting audited!). The new system is flagging a bunch of returns as needing reviews (see: everyone who filed for a state credit). There aren’t enough people to manually review them, so returns are getting very held up.

If you’re still missing your return, please contact your state senator or representative. There are multiple legislators who are opening reports into this, and the more people who call them (or email) and ask where their return is, the more evidence they have to kick the treasury into high gear.

Please share the word with your friends and coworkers, it’s too expensive to be without your promised money right now!!

I’ll be cross posting this to the Michigan sub as well to get the word out! Let your friends know too!

Post nasal drip for decades

Diagnosed with asthma only a few years ago, but I suspect I’ve had it a lot longer.

Allergist is concerned bc my normal-for-me post nasal drip is not, in fact, normal. And my allergy testing (both this week and two years ago) show that my skin is sensitive but really only allergic to dust (tho even my blood allergy tests didn’t show I was allergic to it).

I’ve had so much post nasal drip for literally decades. As far back as I can remember, I have been able to (out of necessity) position my tongue on the roof of my mouth and suck to snort out the mucous, but it also just falls down my throat. I’m 30 now, this has been going on for well over 20 years. Recently, things have kicked up and the mucous is unrelenting. I’m swallowing multiple times a minute to keep my airways clear.

I am on so many antihistamines (4 daily), Trelegy 200, Singulair, and pepcid. Previously been on PPIs, breo ellipta, etc. My allergist had me (recently) on 6 weeks of antibiotics bc he thought it was a chronic sinus infection. It made zero difference. Used Flonase, ipatroprium, and azelastine, the only one that made a small difference was the last one, though I got nosebleeds way too easily. Also done nettipots to little success.

I’m getting a CT scan soon to check for structural anomalies but yall I am tired. I feel like it’s making my breathing worse, and I finally have gotten my asthma under control.

Does anyone have any tips???? Please I’m begging. Any avenues to explore of weird causes of this constant post nasal drip??? Any tests to ask for??

I have been having presyncope spells (especially at work) so I am going through a cardiac work up. I have a 48hr holter monitor and I’ve been dying itching, even tho I’m taking more H1s than strictly recommended (5 of mixed variety per day). On the second night, even Benadryl as a break through med wasn’t helping anything.

Finally took them off. I was expecting to be reacting to the adhesive. But there was a little circle of ultrasound jelly right in the middle of each electrode (that’s how I can best describe it, though it was green instead of clear?). Only one patch was a complete hive, the other four have a clear circle in the middle where I reacted to the jelly.

I’ve had plenty of ultrasounds, even an echo right before the holter was placed. I’ve never reacted to ultrasound jelly before. Does anyone know what was added to the electrodes specifically that is a common trigger? This also happened to my spouse, he really has an adhesive reaction and he only reacted to the jelly too.

Also, any tips for making these hives go down 🥲
