Destiel discussion of S15E19

I know there was absolutely no scenes with Cas or even any mention of him in the episode but when Dean refused to kill chuck saying and I quote “See this not who I am anymore”, it sort of felt like he was finally echoing Cas’ view of him and by extension a part of him or whole of him reciprocated cas’ love for him.
I know it sounds like I am defending some of the absolute moronic choices of the show makers but hear me out. Him accepting cas’ idea of him is not just him breaking the pattern of seeing himself as a killer or a weapon, particularly when we see that in the next episode he dies but it also shows the writers vision that Dean and cas belonged together. In all his life even when Dean felt any romantic attachment to anyone else such as Lisa or Cassie, he was still aware of his losses or the bigger purpose that he had to serve particularly with Cassie but after Cas’ confession it would have felt like he was freeing himself from that obligation. The obligation to just serve mindlessly.
I know they had the atrocious pie competition scene where he all but dismisses Sam when he brings up Cas or Jack. On my first watch it just felt so out of character for Dean especially when you consider his widower arc but when you look at the constraints some of the writers had with making one of their main leads explicitly bisexual as the network wouldn’t have allowed it, their decision of killing him was the only sensible decision they could have made from their point of view because Dean accepting his death to me seemed like from his reasoning he could now be with Cas finally and by that I mean that upto this point he knows that in heaven you relieve your golden moments of life and now when he gets to go to heaven he would constantly have to relieve his memories with Cas too and that’s his peaceful ever after.

Again, this is my crazy tin foil hat theory but I am fully aware that CW had conducted a survey to see if the audience will be fine with making Dean explicitly bi and there was resistance to that idea.
Don’t get me wrong it still feels like a cheap cop out and I would have preferred them to be together or at least to have Dean reciprocating but let’s face it we weren’t ever gonna get that.

Season 6 destiel is funny lmao

I was rewatching season 6 and I gotta say it’s one of the most unhinged destiel season. I feel like unlike the previous seasons where destiel was unintentional and mostly played for laughs, this one at least had some intention behind it. Cas is straight up the most Byronic, and morose hero with all his pining. Like there’s a war brewing in Heaven and he is over at Dean’s going all invisible girl just watching him rake leaves while making his meow meow face.
Crowley is played as the romantic rival when he declared that he can smell the stench of the impala on the angel’s overcoat.
The whole dean and cas confrontation when he finds out that cas has played him all along
The scene where Dean is sleeping on the couch and the shot pans out to Cas watching him and then Dean wakes up and instead of calling Sam or Bobby, he still tries to talk to Cas. He knows that Cas won’t hurt him even now and that’s so sweet. I was screaming into my pillow like Dean baby do you realise if you just grab the angel by his tie and plant big sloppy wet one on his chapped lips we could have avoided the whole Leviathan plot because Cas would be on the ground begging Dean to put a collar and a muzzle on him🤣🤣🤣🤣

Destiel fic Recs

I need some fic recs where they are not in a relationship yet and Dean is repressed but he is struck by how beautiful cas is. Like he just likes looking at Cas’s eyes and realises just how beautifully blue they are or how gorgeous and elegant Cas’s hands are. It doesn’t even have to be smut. I just want that repressed bisexual hunter ogling the pretty angel.

Question: Are the younger generation who just recently got into supernatural more pro destiel??

I am asking this not just from queer person’s perspective but in general. A cousin of mine who is way younger than me(in her teens) said that she could see dean/cas being a thing from season 6 itself. When I first watched season 6 supernatural, I didn’t fully see it. At least not until season 8 and mind you there was already a lot of chatter on destiel from season 4 onwards online.
