heyy i'm looking for fix-it fics where dean calls himslef a widower or thinks of himself as one. i dunno what it is abput them but it's so cathartic to read. obv angst is okay, but i'd rather read stuff with a happy ending (basically cas coming back)

I’m 26F who likes and confessed my feelings for my gay 26M best friend. And he confessed his feelings as well. But he’s unable to come to terms that he’s bi/pan and is having an identity crisis. We had several romantic coded moments just like Dean and Cas. And we’re both very spiritual and did supernatural stuff like telepathy together. When I wished I had what Destiel has, I didn’t mean this. 😭

I've read a couple fics where Cas is under some spell where he can't help but tell the truth, but I'd love to read one for Dean. Like of ALL people, Dean being forced to tell the truth all the time would be amazing not just for his relationship with Cas but with Sam, and for revealing all kinds of things about himself. Canonverse, of course. Preferably nothing over 100k.

- Dean’s in a toxic relationship with Alastair. He finally convinces him to take Dean to a hockey tournament. The kiss cam seems harmless enough, until it lands on him and Alastair, who refuses to kiss him. Just as a rejected Dean settles back in his seat, the man sitting behind him sighs dramatically, pulls Deans face up by the chin and kissed him. Holy shit.

- Dean wakes to the sound of someone rifling around in his bag. When he sits up, he sees Sam rummaging through many of their bags, packing for collage. Dean doesn’t think there’s a word for how he’s feeling. Though with a truckload of convincing, Dean follows Sam to school, where he meets Castiel Novak, a man who treats him with so much kindness, he has to be wanting something from him. He has to!

- Endverse Cas finds his Dean dead in the garden. He can’t breathe. Can’t move. He can’t be dead. He can’t be. Lucifer is gone. He’s left Castiel alone, forever. Everyone else is dead. He cradles his dead lover in his arms, tears flooding his face. This was to be his torture. Months of acceptance drive him nearly mad as he clutches Deans idol close to his chest. He can’t stay here. This world, this universe is damned. But there are others. That past Deans visit proved it. There’s a way out, he just has to find it. (I’ve actually started writing this one myself!)

- Castiel escaped his religious life nearly a year and a half ago with nothing but anything he could fit in his bag and the clothes on his back. For weeks, he slept outside, ate nearly nothing and relied on anything he found outdoors to keep him alive. That is, until he found Purgatory, the local gay bar. The place is nearly rundown, and it’s near perfect. A bit of encouragement from Benny the bartender and a few drinks, he clambers onto the stage and sings. And applause rattles the walls. People start paying him, begging for him to keep going, and who is he to turn down money? It’s all fine until his collage “study buddy” shows up to fetch his little brother and finds him on stage.

- Castiel is an officer of the law, and has been for years. There’s never been a case he couldn’t solve. Never… except one. Sam and Dean Winchester, serial killers, grave robbers, thieves and scammers. The older one has a fondness for taunting him, leaving messages and even showing himself in person a few times. His motives for these actions make no sense! Whereas Dean Winchester is totally obsessed with the blue-eyed cop. Sam is so done with it.

- Prince Castiel Novak is presented with twenty “suitable wives”, each of which he can find something wrong with. His father is insistent that he finds a wife before his 30th birthday, to the point he has threatened to disown him. While having the servants draw him a bath, he meets his new personal assistant (after having fired the last one for getting his towels mixed up. How hard could it have been?). A tall boy from the village down the path. Unlike everyone else he’s ever met, that- that arrogant jerk refuses to bow to him. He does as he’s told, but airs his grievances out loud. And to make it worse, Castiel can’t bring himself to fire him.

I want rather short fics with multiple chapters. I also would rather heavy smut

hey guys, i’m looking for some beautifully written angsty fics that will get me bawlingggg. i’ve read to build a home and 91w, im wondering if anyone has any similar recommendations where there’s loads of angst in their relationship (but with a happy ending) and no cheating (on each other). i’ve also read other fics written by these authors such as restless wanderer, also beautiful - but as I said, looking for gut wrenching long fics at least over like 150k words. thanks for any recs!!!!

I found this fic: Trench by Wildflowersovermygrave, and I can’t stop thinking about it. I want to dissect it like it’s a frog (while I’m waiting for an update >_< lol) xD.

Okay, so someone in Paris asked Jim, "What if John and Mary had both died in the fire, leaving Bobby to raise the boys?" Now I need a fic where this happens, and as a result, Dean is softer and open with his feelings so that when he meets Cas, he's able to admit his feelings right away. I think Bobby (maybe with Ellen or Jody) would raise them as normal as possible while still investigating the fire and would be so much quicker to put it all together and not hide it from the boys or avoid training them, but would keep them in school and away from actual hunts until they are older and ready.

So, I am still butt deep in my current WIP but I had another idea for a shorter AU longfic and wanted to check if it wasn't too close to any existing fics.

Dean has a rescue dog, Miracle, that he dotes on and he knows the pup is going to freak out on July 4th just like he did last year. Dean's veterinarian refers him to a specialist vet who deals with dog behavioral issues. Enter C. James Novak to help him with Miracle. Part of the whole thing is that Dean adopted the dog to help him get over the loss of his partner Benny after a long illness. Can he love again... you know the routine.

How does that sound?

I feel like it's getting so hard to find good fics where there's no mention of past relationships or hookups or people trying to come between them. I also don't like full au, bdsm, a/b/o, or mpreg, so it limits the options even further. Any recommendations that fit? I love dadstiel and fics where Sam is closer or more like their kid where they are taking care of him, like during his trauma phases. Longer is better, but I'm desperate for anything at this point. I'm about to start rereading my entire bookmarks list. 🤣😭

I’ve randomly remembered a fic I read a long time ago that I really enjoyed. Dean and Cas are both single dads. Dean’s daughter is Charlie and I think Cas’ daughter is Claire. Cas set Dean up with a dating app— it may have been the other way around, I can’t remember. Dean starts to call Cas and debrief him on his dates and Cas does the same. Eventually when one of them calls the other to tell him about his date, it turns into phone sex. They start dating etc. etc.

Another specific scene I remember is the girls getting to stay home due to a snow day so they all hang out together. I’ve combed through my history but I either over looked it or it was deleted

So i recently started supernatural, binged like 10 seasons, noticed the gayness, acknowledged the gayness. Now I'm waiting for my invitation from Ao3 to start writing and contributing to the small collection of 100k fics (good times, well fed yum)

I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO GIVE ME LIKE A GREEN LIGHT, cz my mind is saying stuff like "no one is gonna read it cz the fandom's probably dead" and I need to trick myself into writing anyways. I just need motivation so please just help me out

The episode starts with Sam and Eileen at the bunker table

Sam says everyone’s back when Eileen asks about Chuck

Sam says he just led him to the spell but it was his choice to bring her back.

They then confess their love and kiss

Dean walks in on them and as much as he doesn’t want to interrupt them says he has to talk to sam alone

After Eileen leaves Dean tells Sam about what happened with cas

He says he agrees with the Angel about how kind and selfless Dean is

Which gives Dean a level of strength he’s never felt before

The brothers then agree to get cas out

Not bothering Jack who has been crying in his room for hours and NOT GOD lol

Sam summons the Empty and Dean is amused it has taken on Meg’s form lol

Dean has his own deal

Angels in heaven

Demons in hell

Cas and Jack stay with them

And the shadow can sleep

It agrees and cas is returned to them

Sam hugs him first before leaving the two alone
As they share a tearful hug

Dean says he’s not angry with cas, but demands he not pull a stunt like that again which he agrees

Cas thanks Dean for saving him, and Dean says somewhat teasingly that he had no choice he dropped a bombshell on him

Cas looks panicked but Dean just tells him to relax, before thanking him for evreything he said

Saying no one’s looked out for him like he has

When Cas asks if he returns his feelings Dean just says all he knows he never wants him to leave ever again

Cas realizing he does smiles and says he’s not going anywhere

The finale ends with Cas tearfully reuniting with Jack and Dean calling Jody and the girls over for a feast

How do you think he would’ve responded?

Hello! This is my first post because at this point I’m ready to scream into the void.

I’m desperately trying to find an old Destiel fic I read on AO3 years ago. I’ve searched every tag combination I can think of, so I’m hoping someone recognizes it!

Here’s everything I remember:
● Dean is a wealthy businessman (possibly finance/corporate)
● Dean signs up with an international matchmaking/mail-order bride agency, and it was Gabriel’s idea/suggestion.
● Dean expects to be matched with a woman, but instead is matched with a Russian man. He basically goes, “Well…he’s hot,” and rolls with it.
● I think Castiel has a Russian birth name but tells Dean to call him “Castiel.”
● Castiel’s English isn’t very good at first; I vaguely remember him learning a lot from TV, but I’m less certain about that.
● Cas frequently calls Dean “muzh” (Russian for “husband”) instead of using his name.
● The relationship starts as an arrangement but becomes a genuinely loving marriage.
● I believe it was Explicit or Mature and several chapters long.
● Gabriel is paired with Alfie, who is also from Russia/part of the matchmaking service.
● Castiel regularly sends money home to his family in Russia.
● Eventually he stops sending money.
● His family comes to America looking for him because they haven’t heard from him.
● The huge plot twist (spoiler alert) is that Anna is revealed to be Castiel’s wife back in Russia, causing a massive conflict.

I’ve already ruled out The Russian Bride and Russian to the Altar, so it isn’t either of those.

I probably read it somewhere around 2015–2019, but it could have been written earlier.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Even if it’s been deleted, I’d love to know the title or author. I’d honestly cry if someone found it.

I have a fic idea

So you know how after the MOC Dean spent the summer with Crowley, he just drank and sang and had sex, so it seems like the mark removes his inhibitions and makes him chase pleasure without regard for consequences.

So in the fic he will realize what is true pleasure is being Castiel, so he makes that happen.

Would be fun if its dubious consent on Cas's part and if it starts as a physical thing but later they realize their feelings.

Bonus points if fucking an angel removes the mark.

Someone pls write it, I will sell my soul!
