I feel like the game is very slowly losing out to no longer being actually a satire anymore
As someone who is in the Warhammer community, I’ve noticed this there too. With the new introduction of the new Illuminate Enemies, I feel like the game is slowly trying to push the idea that, no, the Squi’th are not sympathetic or at least not justified in their anger. Even if they were unrighteously slaughtered and had their worlds ripped apart for trying to ally with Super Earth. With all the body horror and horrific actions they take, it feels like more and mroe they are unironically pushing the idea that all of the squi’th are now pure evil. Which kinda defeats the whole point of their genocide being evil and horrific. As someone else said in a comment, the game I feel doesn’t focus enough on what we have done to the other factions, and instead focuses on what we do to our own citizens, and even then we only really HEAR about it, not actually see it. It feels less like they actually care about the idea of this being a satrie, and just want cool enemies to fight. Which is fine, but it also makes it extremely difficult to take the satire as a satire when it actively shows the civilians of our side being slaughtered and mutated into horrorific monsters, which makes it hard for many to see the Illuminate as anything but monsters.
