Looking for career pivot UK

Hello all,

I am looking for opportunities to shift in my career.
I’m an architectural designer in London with over 13 years experience across Australia and UK, and I recently heard about roles where architect skills could be useful for non-profit organisations.

Example: I heard of a US situation where an architect is working for a Community Development Financial Institution . In possibly over-simplified terms, they are working to put the needs of community organisations at the forefront, and helping identify needs, and problem solve where resources can be best spent to help the cause of the organisations.

I was wondering if anybody has advice for me regarding UK equivalent roles, and how I might go about reaching out. I have worked across all parts of an architectural project, and primarily I’ve been in the construction end of projects for the past few years.

I would love to work in an industry less about “building for buildings sake” and more aligned with my values about people.

Thanks for reading!

Please help me if you can

Hello,
I am unsure if this is the right forum to do this.

My name is Marnie,
This is embarrassing to go public with, but here goes….
The short of it is I’m struggling financially and it’s looking dire for the upcoming month. Can anyone afford to give a little cash?

I work full time in London, and I still make barely enough to make ends meet. I sell things on Vinted to try to make some more money, but with my work hours , I am unable to get another job.
Are you able to bless me with some cash?

Right now I’m owing 12000 GBP in bills and debts. And this month we won’t be able to afford food by mid month.

I am not British, so I’m unable to receive any government benefits, and I’m stuck in my situation until I can get on top of things (it’s a vicious cycle).

If anyone is able to spare cash, (looking for £1500) and bless my bank account, you will be helping me so so much.
Please comment “blessings” on this post if you would like to help and I can send you my details.

Thank you for even reading this,
God speed,
Marnie
