Hi all, I’m looking to add a new pack to my collection. I have some weekend hiking trips and longer day hikes coming up (hut to hut style, not camping) and can’t decide which pack would be best for me.

Anyone have either of these packs and able to provide some advice?

Hikelite: back panel for breathability, internal storage but the frame is rigid so not good for plane travel

Velocity: love the running vest style pockets, good mesh stash pockets, flexible frame. But $100 more in my country and less internal storage/less small zipper pockets.

Hi all, I’m having trouble deciding what pack to get. I have a few day hikes and multi-day hut to hut treks in my future and want a good all-round pack. I’ve tried them on in store and are all comfortable, I just can’t decide which to go with.

Anyone here use any of these packs and able to provide insight or share their reviews?

I like the trampoline back of the hikelite, the runners vest of the velocity to store my phone (I find I often wear a separate fanny pack to store my phone in addition to my current daypack which gets annoying), and the pockets and features of the tempest/talon.

I currently have a Gregory nano h2o which feels very small, I’m in need of an upgrade. I like the Gregory packs but my local store doesn’t sell the ones I would be interested in.
