Best Budget Laptop for MBA

Hey guys, I’ll most probably be joining one of the newer IIMs this year for MBA, so I wanted some laptop suggestions from seniors/current students.

My budget is a bit tight, so I’m mainly looking for something under ₹60k that can comfortably handle MBA-related work for the next 2 years.

Currently I am only aware of galaxy book 3 and moto book but not sure whether they will be good options or not.

Would really appreciate if you could suggest some good value-for-money options. If possible, please attach links too.

Thanks. (P.s.- I am really interested in galaxy book 3 (i5 16 gb) as it's in my budget )

Will i convert iim ranchi

My sc category wl was 420 initially, today it moved to 300. I am offered the other two (mba hr and mba ba). Is there any possibility I can convert. Also my raipur wl is 206, and Trichy is 171 in my category (both looking nearly impossible).

Currently the other option i have in hand is only iim kashipur.

Should I start loan process for kashipur or wait for ranchi.

Need honest advice

Hi everyone,

Need some genuine advice regarding my situation.

My profile:

8/8/8

BBA graduate (2025)

Fresher with 1 year gap

Slight interest in Sales & Marketing, but not 100% sure about domain yet

Last year, my only decent convert was Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, but I decided to repeat CAT hoping for something better. This year again, Kashipur is the only institute that looks realistically convertible, while other colleges have very high waitlists.

Now I’m seriously confused about what to do.

One option is joining IIM Kashipur this year.

The second option is taking a job and maybe trying later, but honestly my family’s financial condition is very weak (annual income below ₹3 lakh). If I start working now, then after 2 years it may become very difficult for me to leave the job and pursue an MBA because of family responsibilities.

So realistically, it feels like it’s either MBA now or probably no MBA later.

At the same time, MBA itself is a huge financial decision for me. Taking such a big loan scares me a lot, especially because I don’t come from a strong financial background.

I wanted honest opinions from people here:

Is IIM Kashipur worth taking in my situation?

Would repeating again make sense?

Should I take a job instead?

How are opportunities there for an average fresher profile like mine?

Is Sales & Marketing a good domain there?

Would really appreciate practical advice from seniors/alumni/aspirants.

Thanks a lot.
