Month by Month

The Mets were 11 Games Under .500 at the end of April and the worst team in baseball.
We are currently 6 Games under .500 and no one outside of Atlanta has a clear runaway season…
If the Mets win 8 of the next 11 games…not hard but not easy…we will be at .500 on May 31…
Sometimes it’s about belief

Senga

Did that infamous Alonso/Senga play in 2025 permanently break Senga’s ability to throw?
I’m confused about why that seems to have been a talking point last year

Tomorrow

Win tomorrow and we can basically just let it slide…
Thank goodness this is a mid-May game and not an August/September playoff campaign.
Still an embarrassing game…but honestly it’s so rare to get a In-The-Park-Slam that you can’t get mad at history.

David Wright

It is very rare to have anyone play for a single team during their career…what kept him around for his entire tenure?

Polanco 2027

What do we make of Jorge Polanco considering he’s basically non-existent in this season?
Does he play at all in 2027?
Should we DFA him and just bear the cost?

Prospects

How many prospects can we bring up before it looks like we are desperate?
I’m saying this not because any turned out bad…but we are missing some key players right now and once they return then what?
To be clear I am pro-prospects…but…
If we were at full health…
Lindor, Polanco, Robert, Alvarez
Senga, Holmes

Who gets pushed downwards?

New Announcement

Why did they only announce 2 new titles?
There were 3 upgrades and 1 eclipse title addition…but the actual new titles seemed very slim this month.
Was it just a slow month?

The Magnificent Ambersons

Of all the lost films that have somewhat resurfaced…why has a full print of the film supposedly considered equal to Citizen Kane not emerged in some form somewhere in the world?
Is the available release genuinely the only existing footage available?
Who would own it if it did still exist?

Standing

I looked at the stats and our 12 game losing streak ending with us 9 games under .500…
Right now we are 7 games under .500…
Basically we have the chance to overtake the Marlins next week and move out of last place

Not trying to jinx but how close are we actually to .500, and if/once we get there…what next?

Refurbished Team

What are the chances that all of the big players return by at least end of July?
It’s a skeleton crew right now in both pitching and batting but it seems like we can recover before the end of the season unless I am missing something.
Other than Megill and Nunez…who is officially out for the rest of this season?

Mess of a Season

Improbable amount of injuries+decaying player status…officially feels like a truly cursed season and it’s just a shame we can’t have 1 full season of good things
Hopefully that 2027 lockout gets resolved quickly.

How do we have 3 pitchers completely unable to perform, 5 hitters, among them 2 SS and 1 Catcher?
This whole thing sucks ass

Injuries

How do so many Mets have simultaneous injuries?
All of our big new hitters are out for the foreseeable future
Lindor should be here at some point but by then the season might be halfway over
Mauricio and Alvarez are out for the next few months
We don’t have a full pitching rotation…
What other teams have this many injured players and are still competitive?
Just a season of pure bad luck

ABOVE .400

Believe it or not…for the first time since April 13…exactly 1 month ago, we are above .400…
Progress but definitely more movement
