How common is gestational diabetes and how is it managed
While I can look up statistics, I wanted to hear first hand from Indian women - how did you get tested for gestational diabetes? How did you manage it if you got diagnosed?

I am a relatively fit South Asian woman with a relatively clean diet. This is my first pregnancy and I failed the 3 hour test ( one hour and two hour results elevated ) and have been clinically diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I know that it’s not entirely my fault but I can’t stop thinking about how none of the exercise I do/have done have actually made a difference. Genuinely thought my diet was alright until now. What worries me is the increased risk of type 2 later in life for me and for my baby or future babies - I am not worried about any dietary or lifestyle changes I have to do for the remainder of this pregnancy.
So in an effort to move past this, want to hear from you all if anyone has had success stories of natural deliveries despite increased C section risks/going back to normal blood sugar levels post partum or other success stories despite having had GDM. Help a girl out fam.
