How many crashes and stutters should I expect on shadPS4 pre-release?

Hey everyone,

I've been trying out Bloodborne on the latest shadPS4 pre-release builds, but my experience has been far from smooth. I'm getting considerable stuttering and frequent crashes during gameplay.

In my head, this doesn't make much sense given my specs, but since PS4 emu is still maturing, I wanted to check what the baseline is for everyone else right now.

Here are my specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • GPU: RX 9070 XT
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5

Are severe stutters and frequent crashes normal/expected even on high-end hardware with the current pre-release builds? Is it mostly a shader compilation issue, or is there a specific configuration/mod I should be using to stabilize it? Should i try an older version?

Thanks!

Question about shadPS4 v0.1.6: "Bloodborne" Where did "game specific settings" go? (+ Vertex Explosion fix?)

Hey everyone,

I'm currently setting up "Bloodborne" on shadPS4 (version 0.16.0) trough BBlauncher, and I noticed a difference between my setup and most of the guides/tutorials online.

In the videos, people usually click on an option called "shadps4 settings (game specific)" inside the launcher. However, on my end, that option is missing. Instead, I see a section that says "Bloodborne Cheats/Patches".

For anyone keeping up with the recent builds, I just want to clear this up:

- Is this just a UI/name change in the newer versions ?

- Has the "Cheats/Patches" menu replaced or absorbed the old "Game Specific" settings?

- Bonus question: Does this new menu also include the fix for vertex explosion ? Or do I need to look somewhere else to enable that fix on this version?

I just want to make sure I didn't mess up the installation or that I'm not missing out on crucial performance/graphical tweaks.

Thanks in advance for the help!
