Has anyone else seen OC Transpo routes in places they normally never go?
Over the years I’ve noticed a few strange things:
• I saw an 80 to Barrhaven Centre passing through Lincoln Fields, even though it doesn’t normally go there.
• I saw an 87 at Lincoln Fields, which also isn’t part of its normal route.
• I once saw a Route 7 with its destination sign still saying “Carleton,” but it was driving in the Richmond Road/Woodroffe Avenue area
Have you guys ever seen a driver going the wrong way?
A couple years ago when 53 was going to carlington, the driver was supposed to turn left onto kirkwood near the top hat trucks, instead it went straight onto Westgate, when myself and others saw we were confused and then realized the driver was new
The picture above shows where the 53 turns
Today I was on the 75 to Tunney’s Pasture coming from Marketplace. A few minutes into the ride, there was a man who was shouting in Arabic and getting into people’s faces. Most people on the bus didn’t seem to understand what he was saying, but he was making a lot of passengers uncomfortable.
He kept approaching and harassing people. Another passenger eventually stood up and told him that what he was doing wasn’t okay and that he needed to stop bothering people. The man continued, and the driver eventually asked him to leave the bus.
After he got off, I spoke with the driver, who told me that the same man had already been harassing other passengers before I got on the bus.
I’m curious if anyone else has had similar experiences recently on OC Transpo. Has disruptive or aggressive behavior on buses become more common, or was this just a one-off incident?
Yesterday around 3:00, I was on the Line 2 train from Bayview. Apparently, there was a trespasser at Walkley, which meant I had to stay at Bayview for 30 minutes.
Did anyone else hear about this
