I'm co-managing an AA team for the first time. We're a few weeks into the season. Practices are going well enough. The team did much better in game 2 than game 1.
I'm looking for a way to make our lineup creation a bit faster. Right now, my compatriot in coaching has taken it on, but for our two games thus far, we've had to scramble at the last minute to change the lineup due to missing kids or others getting intimidated by a position we've assigned.
Is there an app that you'd recommend? Android or iOS. Is there an Excel sheet with macros that can track batting order and defense to keep things fair? We're still rotating pitchers every inning, but it seems like we could give a few kids two innings pretty soon. Stuff like that is a real monkey wrench.
(As an aside, big appreciation for those of you who've been doing this for years. Keeping things fun, but also helping kids grow. )
In my neverending quest to understand the nuances of this rule, I read and reread this rule because I always miss a detail.

Last night at a Little League game, runners on first and third with one out. First baseman drops an easy pop-up (not intentionally). Easily throws out runner advancing to second. Batter reaches on fielder's choice, but probably more of an E3. Runner at 3rd does not try to score.

Why doesn't the infield fly rule apply here? Is it because the double play is much harder, especially on that side of the field? (Yes, I know the rule says 1st & 2nd or bases loaded.)

My 2008 Nissan Frontier is falling apart. Every month, something major needs replaced, not from neglect, simply from age. This week, it's limping along with a crack somewhere in the cooling system. I'm pretty sure it's the radiator.
We're trying to decide if that's worth fixing before trading it in. Kelly Blue Book says it should be worth $7K on trade, but the CarMax online offer is only about $5K. Would fixing the radiator be a good investment, even if we're selling it?
