This is a free pattern, the pointelle tie scarf. I completed chart 1, since it's worked flat I read the knit rows as left to right, but now I come on to chart 2 and the first knit row is right to left...

Was every row meant to be read right to left?

Does my pointelle look correct, do I need to continue reading my knit rows left to right and ignore the arrow?
