Career growth help needed! My data science job is slowly turning into an AI job🥲🥲

Hello! I’m in a dilemma🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️sooo I've been working in data science for a couple of years now. Most of my day to day has been pretty predictable like cleaning data, building models, analysing results, creating dashboards, presenting findings, repeat.

but lately…ive been listening the same thing for every project…"can we make this AI powered?" 😭

Now I'm being asked abt gen ai, agentic ai, LLMs, automation, RAG and how we can actually put these things into production.

The frustrating part is that I don't feel completely new to AI. I do understand ML and I can work w data too but there's a pretty big gap b/w knowing ML and knowing how to build modern AI systems that actually work in a bus.environment😭😭😭

I've been looking into different ways to upskill now. Couple of my colleagues have suggested me a program in data science. tbh id be more comfortable with online learning and i got know that even upgrad has it🫡🫡 though it seems to combine data science fundamentals w practical and industry oriented skills.

Has anyone here done thiss?🙃🙃

actually I'm trying to figure out if it's useful for me as i already work in ds and want to transition…not wanting to start from zero.

Would love to hear from people who've actually taken it before I commit 🙏 🙇‍♀️
