Film and Photography

hello! odd question: does UWM have a dark room or film developing lab? i’m an incoming art ed major, im also a hobby film photographer so it would be great if i had a resource to develop my own film instead of paying for it (or dropping it off with my boyfriend who goes to MIAD lol)

Course Placement

Hi all! I’m an incoming freshman after taking two gap years. For the english and math course placement, I submitted my ACT scores. However when I log into PAWS, it’s still a pending action. I reached out to the provided email to contact staff about this and found that there wouldn’t be a record match since I’ve had my name legally changed since taking the ACT. I sent over my court order so that records could be matched, but I haven’t heard anything in a few days and it’s still a pending action in my PAWS account. Now that I’m within two weeks of my orientation, I’m concerned that I won’t be able to schedule my English and Math classes. Do I have reason to be concerned or should things be sorted out by next week? Any advice is appreciated! :)

Hello! first post in this sub :) Like the title says, I’m currently thinking about selling my 2006 CRV for a Fit. I’ll be starting my freshman year of college in the fall after two gap years and I’ll be commuting about 40 mins to school. It’s mostly interstate during my commute, but with my current car, my gas mileage is really not the greatest. I absolutely love my CRV and it has been such a fun vehicle, but going into school, I worry I won’t be able to afford the upkeep to keep her alive. I bought it at 124k, in hopes that I would have a long lasting vehicle, but the last owner didn’t take great care of it, leaving me with all of the typical 100k mile maintenance.

I think the Fit would be a great fit (haha) for me as someone commuting. Newer models are relatively inexpensive, they have great gas mileage, and have a lot of great convenience features.

Why do you guys like your Fits? Any generations or trims you recommend? Looking just for testimonies OR if you guys think I should just keep my CRV. thanks !! :)
