Annoying family members • what should I do?
I have family members who are constantly asking me for very petty things — foot rubs, looking stuff up for them, things normal people should be doing themselves. But for some reason, our dynamic is such that they grown accustomed to asking me to do things for them. And if not, they throw a tantrum, give the silent treatment, basically completely overreact for something people usually don’t ask other people to do. It’s every time I pass my parents/ older siblings or if they even just see me.
I personally feel like straight up telling them “I’m not your butler/attendant. Didn’t you learn to do things yourself in kindergarten? Do it yourself!” But I don’t feel like this is what a right conscience would do.
Anyone experience this?
