I’ve been trying for the last 2 days. It used to work and it doesn’t now (I think maybe it’s because I have updated steamOS, otherwise I don’t know why it wouldn’t anymore ).

I reinstalled the steamrip version and it doesn’t work . So then I’ve added the update that is on the fitgirl page

I get the launcher for it then I click launch the game (after I set the graphics to low in the launcher ) and screen goes black and after a bit I get the PlayStation report error .

(It is the FLT version and I used the FLT crack for it after the update with the bat file etc from fitgirl )

I’m at a loss and I’m confused why it stopped working in the first place but also a loss at what to do (I did install all dependencies etc)

(I also tried to install from fitgirl and it gets stuck . I did the bin check and it says everything is ok. I waited super long time and it just gets stuck at trying to install sound bank . I’ve never had a game freeze with fitgirl bc I limit to 2gb ram. I know some take a long time and appear to be freezing but when I check in activity monitor it just doesn’t read or write or anything . Hence why I went back to the steamrip version , plus that one used to work but not anymore )

Most of them work fine . I didn’t test them all because I have a lot now but most of them are fine but I noticed some of my games , esp the PlayStation exclusives stopped working after the steam os (including spiderman remastered and ratchet and clank for instance whilst god of war still worked afterwards )

Does that happen often , or sometimes or it’s not that at all? It’s the first time I’ve noticed it

(I asked AI but I don’t trust the hallucinations. It gave me a decent explanation but sometimes it just kind of bullshit you to confirm what it thinks you want to hear so I thought to ask here. Basically it said it’s because it updated proton and it doesn’t work for instance with the steamapi64.dll file anymore or some other files too but especially this one , even if you switch to the Goldberg but like I said I don’t know if it was telling me bullshit )

If so what do you do when it happens ? You wait for a new update to drop on steamrip or firgirl or there’s another fix?
