Do you think Kep1er can still have a major career resurgence and build a huge fandom or is it unlikely to achieve that at this point in their career?

Note: This is specifically about whether a huge hit song and good follow ups could lead to significant fandom growth for Kep1er and give them a new heyday.

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way because I think Kep1er had so much potential at debut. Unfortunately the initial momentum faded quickly and I wonder how difficult it would be for them to regain that level of buzz and build an even bigger fandom now.

I definitely think they can still get hit songs. Every artist can have a breakout moment with the right timing and some luck. But I've noticed that having hits later in your career doesn't necessarily translate into huge buzz or a massive fandom in kpop for some reason. One successful song can bring more attention and lead to better numbers and even more hits for following releases but does it actually have the potential to recreate that fandom building effect you get when a group blows up early in their career?

Maybe I should've ask this in one of the general kpop subreddits as a general kpop question (probably I will do it later) but I grew so much sympathy for Kep1er over the past year and I wanna ask specifically for them here because people who actually care about them might have better and deeper takes on this than a bunch of randoms.

I was convinced Aespa's Ningning was a Huening sibling for a while

I am a moa now and I love aespa a lot but until a few years back, I was just an on and off blink since Blackpink's debut so I just gathered random information via social media about kpop like whatever my algorithm threw at me or whatever I read on reddit kpop spaces so I never cared enough to fact check.

For months I thought Aespa's Ningning was a Huening sibling. I connected the dots so badly that it made so much sense during that time.

I knew Huening siblings lived in China very long time. Hueningkai's nickname is "ningning" because hue"ning" apparently and I knew about that nickname. And I once saw a clip on tiktok where huening dad says something like "I want to have more kids, I wanna have 4 or 5 kids". I knew that all Huening siblings was in the industry Lea Navvab, Kai, Hiyyih like people talked about it a lot during kep1er's debut, and for some reason I genuinely believed that Ningning was the 4th huening sibling. Because her stage name "ningning" and I knew it was not her real name, she is from China, people were talking about how all huenings are in the industry and my brain just connected the dots over time and somehow convinced itself Ningning being the fourth Huening sibling is the only logical conclusion.

Even later when I saw a low resolution childhood video of huenings, I assumed the older girl was ningning and the mom was the oldest sibling Lea because the video was really low resolution and I was already convinced that ningning had to be there.

I had no idea until around 2022 a moa was talking about how hueningkai suffered because of his name since debut due to first getting hate for having the same name as Exo Kai and then for having the same nickname as an SM trainee ningning that hadn't even debuted that time and then it clicked.
