Feeling Hopeless

So i'm planning to apply this cycle and did somewhat of a recovery semester this summer where i retook a lot of classes and boosted my last 45 gpa. I also took an upper level course at my uni and unfortunately my sister tried to off herself 2 days before my final and so I missed the final and my professor stuck to her absolute no retakes rule.. even with documentation. So i ended up failing the course. Now I feel like that ruined my chances of getting in this cycle bc not only was it a prerequisite but it was also an upper level one and I wouldn't be able to retake it until the fall. Last fall my house also burnt down so my grades that semester also slipped and i failed gen chem 2 but have since retaken it and gotten a b. I feel like vet schools will view this as a pattern but really i've just had a rough year. I'm fine with even going to sgu or ross at this point , but idk if it's even worth applying this cycle. any advice ? i know that's what the explanation statement is for but is it even worth it at this point ?? i dont want to throw thousands down the drain to apply if im obviously not going to get in.

Help reviewing personal statement?

Hi! I figured alot of people have been posting this but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to read my personal statement and provide any feedback! I come from a non traditional background so I don't have many prevet resources and have only had people outside of vet med + a pre med advisor read my personal statement so just looking for a fresh set of eyes. I'm not the best writer lol and I'm struggling with the character count.

Online Prerequisites

Hi! I wanted to see if anyone had any experience taking the lecture portion of a prerequisite online and the lab portion in person at separate schools? I wanted to take organic chemistry online somewhere this summer and then the lab at my normal community college. Just curious if anyone had any experience doing this and if they had any issues with admissions.

I'm aware i should probably take it in person but I work 2 jobs and just don't have the time, so any suggestions for accepted online lectures for orgo 1 would be helpful as well!

Options for Online Organic Chemistry Course ?

Hi everyone! I'm applying this cycle and currently trying to finish the minimum amount of prereqs needed to apply. I've pretty much overloaded myself this summer taking 6 courses including microbio, calc, parasitology (upper bio course), gen chem 2, genetics, and an upper level physiology course all split across 4 different schools with half being in person and half online. I'm non traditional so didn't take these in undergrad.... ik i must sound crazy lol.

Anyways, before anyone freaks out i'm about to be done with 4/6 and have A's in them so im not too worried about courseload. I want to knock out organic chemistry 1 as well and was hoping to find somewhere to take it online as i don't have time in person due to my current classes and work. Wondering if anyone has a school where they took the lecture online at? Also for all the schools im applying to, lecture is okay to take online but labs have to be in person for a few schools so I assume its okay to take the lecture online at one school and then the lab in person at my normal school? Any advice or suggestions appreciated ! For reference im located on the east coast and applying to : cornell, kansas state, Louisiana, rowan, sgu, minnesota, missouri, penn, and washington!
