My Living Room (WIP)
It's about 90% done. A few touch-ups here and there, but this is it! I was very annoyed with the stairs, particularly not being able to put up rails. I improvised and put up fireplace guards.

Any tips on how to keep these cluckers in their stalls? Half walls aren't working. Was hoping to keep a nice aesthetic, but coming to terms with the fact that it is out of the realm of possibilities. This is my current setup. They are toggled to only eat from assigned food/water troughs. The troughs in my barn are "Allowlist Only." Only the troughs in their stalls are designated for them. I was hoping that would keep them from wondering, but they really like visiting my other animals.
I know I am excessive (I currently have no issues with lag). Perhaps that is my issue, and I will have to live with wondering chickens. However, anyone have any advice?
Anyone else hate wires all over the place? I have decided to put as much of it as possible in the floors. I accomplished this by putting my wires down as I built the foundation. If you do this on your world, it's important to note that you want to put the floor down over the foundation before attaching your wires. The floors also have different levels of thickness. If you replace the flooring, there is a chance that your ends may be covered up by the new addition. I.E.: brick is thicker than wood. If you do your floor in wood and replace it later with brick, you will have to rewire.
It's harder to hide wires along the walls, so I've resorted to placing beams over top of them. The 2nd floor also added a layer of complication, so I resorted to stringing them along the edges of the room and ceiling/roof. I replaced my concrete roof with a brick one after I did my wiring, and that hid my wiring a good bit.
I also put my drills on a separate grid than my house, because my drills are all solar panels whereas my house is on oil gens and water wheels. My drills are less important to me than powering my workshop and kitchen, and don't require 24 hours of power. Now I don't have to worry about my food spoiling in my freezer when I'm out on missions or afk.
Here are my screenshots! Hope this is helpful!
Sorry, new to posting on Reddit (even though my account is 11 y/o.) This is some of my current build in Olympus. I have not done any interior decorating yet. I don't know how to set which screenshot pops up first, so be sure to flip past the basic before screenie.
