I went once last year and heard there was a walking group that's part of run like a fish. I'm thinking of going again and would prefer walking this time, but don't know if anyone else walks for that.
Please review the Planning Board's role in our fight against the data center.
Community members have been preparing for two months to speak. If there is time for additional speakers, it is important to know what topics will be considered by the planning board.
The planning board only votes on a *recommendation* for the County Commissioners, who will make the final decision on the rezoning for the data center at a later date.
There was a post yesterday that had an incorrect date for the next planning board meeting with public comment for the data center rezoning on the agenda being today (May 14th). It is only on the agenda today to be continued to a later date, but there is no public comment on this agenda item.
There is still a planning board meeting today, but the meeting with public comment on rezoning for this property has been moved to [June 11th at 4:30 in the city council meeting room] (https://www.cityofws.org/278/Planning-Development-Services)

Our group plans on using the limited time (only 12 minutes) to have community leaders from Rural Hall speak at the public comment. We have been doing research and planning for this public hearing. We would appreciate having as many people as possible inside and outside the building from around the county to support on the 11th.
