I just noticed a few days ago as I started the car, that the engine gets louder for a few seconds before settling in. I read online that it’s probably the Chain, can someone verify it? How bad is it to keep driving like this?
Hey guys! There is this strange noise (like a whining sound) that my 2010 E92 N47 makes sometimes. When I accelerate it gets louder as you can hear in the video. Sometimes it’s not there at all. Of course I thought about the timing chain but all the videos that I saw it sounds different. I have it every now and then since I own this car but a few days ago, I think I heard something rattle while starting the car while it was cold so I’m getting paranoia that my timing chain is F***ed. Thanks in advance!
