wht guns are you guys using?

I'm still on a cheap AliExpress gun, and i want up my game a bit.

I mostly do my own stuff and some for friends, i have a collection of cars all restored by myself.

i own a small galvanic and e-coat (KTL) system in a 20` conex box. including phosphat and passivation basins before the cathodic dip painting. of course i got an oven with this setup to burn the e-coat in :-) so powder coating was just get a gun and shoot it, and paint stripping was just modding the oven to higher temperature limitations.... no big prep work with e-coated parts...

so, what would you suggest?

i want a gun with a screw-on powder cup, similar to a traditional paint gun, as i do only small parts and low quantities so i actually could store my powders in a shelf within the cups...

recommendations welcome

Pool hose connector thread

I need some help here:

My valves and pool fittings for my above ground pool all have an M60 x 2.5 thread

my intex pool hose connectors either have m58.6 by 2.31 or respectively G2 thread... i haven't investigated if its 60° or 55° thead angle.

i can't find a pool hose connector that has the M60 thread, and i can't find vales and fittings with the Intex G2 thread.

this sucks

how do you do with this crap?

i sourced both via AliExpress because our local hardware stores are sold out or don't carry that sorta stuff.

Sealing parts for the SLEIPNER cylinder 71060

Hi everyone, i searched and searched, because where I am, I can't get original parts directly.

So here for other folks in my situation:

Firstly, pls support, if possible, the manufacturer, cause the seal kit is really affordable. The original kit with parts number 75160 currently goes at around $40 US or €34 (2026)

it contains seals for 3 different cylinders

mine 71060 needs the following seals:

metric sizes in mm

for the end cap seal package:

2x v-seal 16-22.5x4.5

2x PE support/weare guide rings: 16-22.5x3.1

2x Spiral retaining rings 19.5-23.5x1

for the gland to cylinder pipe seal:

2x o-ring NBR 34,6 or 34,65x1.78 (SAE)

for the piston (that's the one you need to have in stock on your boat, if your steering starts to drift, that's the one to change, it's literally a 15 min repair, I've pushed it off for way to long...):

1x o-ring NBR 25x3,5

I hope that helps somebody, cause I've spent now way over 150 for getting that seal kit, while I could have bought 300 of the required seals NBR o-ring 25x3,5 for the same money locally.

fair winds and following seas, fellow boaters.
