so, i wrote almost 24k words on Aethiopes. AMA

let's talk about one of the best albums ever made imo.

from the moment i first heard it i knew it was special. by chance i was reading "The Open Veins of Latin America" around the time the album came out and it felt like surreal reading the lyrics and seeing chapters of the book being vividly described.

why i did it ? "the devil moved my pencil". i had to do it i couldnt stop thinking about this album and had no one to talk to so i thought to put it in writting.

also i made a video if you guys care to check that out. a couple of people from the sub had asked me about it so here it is. its in portugues but i included english subs. hope y'all like it.

there were a couple of bars that i still don't have a good grasp on. i cant quite figure out why he used assata shakur dead name in smith + cross. i didnt put this on the video but the reading i have leads to think that it could be woods poetically lashing out against his romantic interest, seeing how tample grandin and carrie are mentioned.

also the third verse in haarlem. that one i had no idea what it was about. that one feels like a david lynch scene being described. i also did an analysis of kongi's harvest and cannibal tours. both great films that you should def check out if you haven't.

if y'all have any questions or interpretations lets talk about it. i don't claim to have all the answers i just want to share my thoughts and hear from you.
