I’m planning to buy a MacBook, but I’m actively learning MagicQ and occasionally working on shows. Right now I use a touchscreen all-in-one PC, and I’d like to continue working with touch controls on my own laptop.
Does macOS support external touchscreen monitors properly? More importantly, does MagicQ work well with touchscreens on a MacBook, or are there limitations compared to Windows?
I’d love to hear from anyone who has actually used MagicQ with a MacBook and a touch monitor before I make the switch.

Hey everyone, I’m just starting to learn Chamsys MagicQ and still trying to understand how playbacks work.
What’s the correct way to program strobes for moving heads on a playback?
For example, I want to press one playback button and have selected fixtures start strobing, then stop when I release or deactivate it.
Should I do this with cues, FX, execute window, or another method?
Would appreciate any beginner tips or workflow advice 🙏
