Magic q 2.0

Do you think they will ever release a version 2?

do you think it will be a big change like grand ma 2 vs grand ma 3?

Will you have to get all new hardware?

What would you guys like to see in a version 2?

Is this the program or the fixture? I'm going crazy!!!

Hey, so I'm teching at a small community theater, running Magicq, With a bunch of different pars, few lekos, and 2 Shehds Galaxy Jets 300w.
Everything has been smooth and beautiful, but last night suddenly, in every cue where they are stationary, one of the Moving heads positions had changes it "Pan" about 20 degrees to the left. In EVERY cue.
I rebooted Magicq and it seemed to fix the problem, then this morning, it happened again. And again this evening.

Initially I thought the lights were getting hot and I wasn't turning them fully off enough, but it seems to start at the same cue each time (although it's one of the first cues so that may not mean much)

I've done nothing different than I have always done. Has anyone heard of this happening before? Do you think it's the fixture or something happened in programming the show? I would appreciate ANY advice, as they perform this thing tomorrow night and I hate to think of a light distracting from the hard work these kids did. Plus it's driving me insane.
Thank you in advance 🙏🙏🙏

Problem with Intensity FX

Hello there,
I have a problem with some Fixtures in intensity fx. I have Moving washes, some LED Strobes with RGB Panel and 4 Elements for them and a view RGB Flooder with 5 Elements. I selected these 3 groups and created an intensity fx that looks good for me. I set my Speedmaster for the effect, everything normal and in sync. Next I created the cue stacks for the all group. With this group the fx works syncron between the fixtures. Usually I create regions in the execute windows with the single group e.g. washes, strobes and flooded and out my cues to the region. My problem now is that with this method it doesn’t work with the strobes. They are a lot slower than the other 2 groups. Looks like their speed is divided 4x or something like that. I checked my fx information but I did not recognize the issue. Did anyone run into a problem like this before or am I stupid?

Thanks for response.

How do you guys usually program strobes onto Exec Grid 1 in MagicQ?

I’m trying to find the cleanest and most practical workflow. Do you:
dimchase,
FX,
beam window?,
or another method?
I’d love to hear how you build your strobes for live shows and what works best for you.

Is there a setting somewhere to close the shutter while changing colors/gobos?

Hey, I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of Magicq, been out of the game for 16 years, catching up on the tech and such at a local theater.
These are Shehds Galaxy Jets, and I absolutely hate having to watch the gobos wheel rotate, and the cord wheel shuffling, as the cues change. Surely there's something I'm missing to help with this?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Do I need to make a custom head?

Hi im brand new to magicQ. I have bought a light that is unbranded and have tried to connect it with Generic RGBW LED. but when I go to programme it it is giving me options for CMYK. Research tells me this is because I’ve chosen the wrong head. But I have no idea what the correct one is. Do I need to make a custom one? And if so are there any for dummies tutorials I can watch as all instructions I find really complicated. Thanks
