Hey folks
i have a question regarding my external Touchscreen on my MQ70
im using an ASUS ZenScreen Touch which has a mini hdmi and usb-c input
When i connect it to my mq70 usb it seems that he does not get enough Power to supply his needs so i have to connectnit to an external usb hub but then the touch function does not work
i found a Usb splitting cable 2x usb into 1x usb for such devices, i just have the fear of a short-circuit error and a possible damage to the mq70
has anyone an idea for a fix

I've been havjng issues with fx jumping around/skipping frames when using tap tempo on speed master, is this a hardware issue on my laptop, or have I missed a step for settingnit up properly?

I need some tips to work with grids. I'm never sure when to create a grid and when not to create a grid.

Currently I have a massive project with a lot of fixture groups (about 180) but of course I don't want to manually create grids for each group so is there any trick for it? Especially for fanning. I have six towers around the crowd with fixtures on it and if I'd create a master grid, it would probably fan the heads according to the center of the master grid, not the center of the tower, right?

I tested pixel mapping with one tower because it has a quadratic screen which is surrounded my LED bars so I created a grid for the LED Bar group of the tower but I also have one group for the tower's horizontal and one for it's vertical LED bars and if I choose them, they use their own, auto-generated grid instead of using the bigger group grid which I manually adjusted. Can I somehow link them or anything so that I don't have to create a group grid for every small group I have?

Hi, I'm a MagicQ theatre-tracking user and I'm running into an issue with LTP effects.
In one of my cue stacks I've added some position and intensity FX, but when I go to the next cue the FX keeps running - even after I go into the programmer, clear it, and confirm there's nothing stored. I can't work out why the FX data is still being held.
Has anyone seen this before or know what setting I might be missing? Thanks in advance.

I’m trying to run my light show by triggering cue stacks set to a timecode that would be fully run by midi notes in reaper. I have each page set as a song and fader 10 set as the time coded cue stack. I cannot seem to get magicq and reaper to talk to each other. I have loopmidi installed and both reaper and magicq have them set as input and output respectively. Can someone help me figure this out?

I recently purchased a Showtec NET-2/5 node to Thomann through my workplace to control out shows with MagicQ and the Artnet Protocol, and I am experiencing issues with the merge function.

Here is my situation: I have an upcoming show at a theater (which I will only have access to on the day of the event) that uses a Piccolo LT DMX console. Given the nature of our production, I will have pre-programmed all the lighting in Chamsys MagicQ (running on MacOS without Chamsys hardware, just the node).

To execute this, my MacBook will connect to a router via Ethernet, and the router will connect to the node. The LT console will connect to the node via DMX.

The node's input port is configured as: Input, Art-Net, Network 0, Primary 3.

For my tests at home, I am using a Chamsys Mini Connect I could borrow, connected to a separate computer to emulate the LT console and outputting DMX directly into the node. This second setup is not connected to the router in any way.

The signal to the venue's rig will be sent via DMX from the node's output port. This output is configured as: Art-Net, HTP, Network 0, Primary 0, Secondary 3.

The problem is that during my tests at home using a single RGB LED PAR, the setup is not behaving as expected.

The moment I combine both the Ethernet and DMX signals, it stops responding correctly. Either signal works perfectly on its own.

I have tried the following: sending intensity from one PC and color from the other. The result is that the fixture stays in white, or certain colors don't work. Thinking that the intensity channels might be overwriting the color channels, I tried another approach.

I launched a cue stack from one of the computers, leaving the other with all playbacks (PB) deactivated and its faders down. The result is exactly the same: a fixed white light. When I press release, it does turn off.

Finally, I tried the simplest scenario: controlling both intensity and color from the same computer, without the second computer actively sending any signal. The result was still the same.

I would like to know if this is the expected behavior (which I highly doubt) or if there is a solution. Could this be an issue caused by sending two signals from MagicQ that requires a specific software configuration? Will it work normally with the Piccolo LT? Or will I encounter the same issue with the LT, but with a way to properly configure it?

Is there a way to set a release time for a flash when the fader for that same playback is at a certain value?

Example of what I want : Playback release set to 0.60s -> Intensity fader at 10% -> quickly activate & release the FLASH -> the intensity goes to full and returns to 10% in 0.60s instead of instantly

For that result I use 2 playbacks but that's a bummer.
