Has anyone navigated EBV with gut issues?

Hi all. I’ve been battling with gut issues for almost 2 years now. First, methane SIBO, then a c.diff infection, and now severe dysbiosis and degraded mucus layer.

I also have reactivated EBV and hashimotos disease. Fun!!!

I’m wondering if anyone treated EBV while also having gut issues? What were you prescribed? Any side effects like constipation?

I feel hungover every day despite not being a drinker. I am so dizzy when I stand up that I have to grab a chair and steady myself before walking.

I just want to feel better but I worry my doctor wants to wait until I’ve made progress in my gut treatment before treating EBV.

Will Tributyrin (butyrate) make me more constipated?

I’ve seen a lot of people with my health history (methane sibo, c.diff, dysbiosis) rave about Tributyrin, but, going through the reviews, a lot of people mention “it helped with my loose stools.”

I have the opposite problem. I am prone to constipation. Anyone else with my issue try Tributyrin with success or side effects?

Constipation while healing leaky gut? Help!!!

A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with IMO sibo. Immediately after treatment I developed a c.diff infection. The treatment for that would absolutely destroy my gut and I’ve been suffering ever since.

A few months ago I finally did a stool test. I thought for sure Sibo was back. Nope. Severe leaky gut and dysbiosis.

My doctor has me taking an akkermansia supplement and I’m also taking zinc carnosine twice a day.

He originally had me taking MegaIgG2000 but that constipated me so severely I had to stop.

Now…it’s like my stomach has froze. I’ve had to take laxatives and enemas multiple times in the past 4 weeks.

Before this, I was at least having a BM every day. Now—nothing.

I eat kiwi twice a day and take mag citrate every night. This has worked wonderfully for me until now. Still bloated 24/7 but now I also can’t poop.

Does anyone have any insight into what is causing this?

L-glutamine is making me bloated and constipated? Help??

Not sure if anyone else has had this experience, because I’ve mostly read rave reviews about l-glutamine helping people.

After treating sibo over a year ago, then treating a c.diff infection, I now have severe leaky gut and dysbiosis.

I’m about to start my protocol and already tried l-glutamine 10g a day for 2 weeks. I kept thinking I just needed to adjust but I never did. I’ve stopped taking it for a week and my bowels have not normalized. This is incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.

Is there an alternative to l-glutamine? Do I absolutely HAVE TO have this to heal my gut? 😩
