I'm a new HA wearer and have age-related hearing loss, mostly highs. My work takes me into loud environments. Generally, I wear over-the-ear protection rated at NRR 31. With HAs, should I take them out or leave them in? My audiologist said it didn't matter. Curious what this group thought. If it helps, OSHA categorizes the noise level as "impulse noise 140–175 dB." There's no conversation going on. Thanks!
