Extra Squeezy Kits

Hey, guys! I'm working on Soli the Red Panda, and I'm trying to figure out if the trouble I'm having is the extra squeezy yarn or the crochet hook.

As I'm crocheting in the round, I'm dealing with a lot of friction as I make each stitch. I don't know if it's because the yarn is thicker and so I need to adjust how I hold it, or if the plastic of the hook is to blame.

I guess, regardless, I'm looking for advice on how best to handle it. My hands are cramping in a way I haven't ever dealt with before and it makes it hard to do more than a few rounds at a time.

She's been doing this for 5 minutes

This is Yelena. She's about 10.5 months old, and she is extremely affectionate. My other cat, Cisco, once gave me a fat lip because he loves forehead kisses so much he basically punched me in the mouth with his head. Yelena prefers to slowly peel my skin off with her sandpaper tongue. I wouldn't trade either of them for the world.

General question about water changes

After weeks of fighting first a bacterial bloom, then an algae bloom, and then a bacterial bloom again, my tank is finally starting to clear. It's about time for my monthly 25-30% water change, and I want to make sure I don't end up with a problem all over again.

My process up until this point had been to gravel vac, refill the tank, add water conditioner and beneficial bacteria. The tank is new enough (fish in for approximately 3.5 months) that I haven't needed to even rinse the filter media yet, so that hasn't been a factor.

I have a 37 gallon tank with a 40 gallon HOB filter and a 40 gallon sponge filter. The latter was a recommendation I got on a previous post to give beneficial bacteria more surface area to settle in.

From here, I guess I'm just asking if there are any changes I should make to my water change process to prevent issues from flaring up again. Through all of this, I've never had any water quality issues and my fish all seem happy and healthy.

Need help finding a band

Hey, guys! I've had Pixel watches since the first gen, and I've never had issues before with sensitivity to the material of the watch bands. Recently, however, I got a new job that involves regularly having my arm(s) submerged in water. I've started getting irritation spots on the inside of my wrist, presumably from trapped water, but it's not at all practical to remove my watch, dry the band, and put it back on every time it gets wet. Not wearing it at all is a last resort, as I rely pretty heavily on being able to quickly check in with the time while working. I'm looking for any suggestions on a band that could help with breathability.

I have the 4, 41mm version.
