Meet my bestie Violet

Meet my bestie Violet

Violet is a 1 1/2 year old Boykin Spaniel Australian Shepherd mix. She loves long hikes in the mountains and is an avid bird watcher. She’s never seen a body of water she didn’t like, or a bunny she doesn’t want to chase. She‘s a wonderful boat captain, but a terrible shore fisherman. She can catch a ball better than most MLB players. Chicken poop connoisseur. She is truly the best companion I’ve ever had.

My first time being sick on biologics

I’ve been on biologics for a little over a year now, and I’ve never been sick up until now. I developed a sinus infection a few months ago. I’ve taken rounds of antibiotics, sinus rinses, allergy pills, nasal spray. I can’t kick it, and it’s gotten progressively worse. I woke up feeling like I’m going to meet god. I’ve never been so tired, and my right lymph node is the size of 50 cent piece. Never in my life has a sinus infection impacted me like this, but I guess having a weakened immune system really does make it harder for your body to fight infection. Wishing everyone a much better week than the one I’m having haha

Applying / Qualifying for Disability

I’m curious if anyone here has applied and qualified for disability, and if you’d be willing to share your experience with it. Working 40 hours a week sounds like a pipe dream if I want to have any quality of life. I’ve felt great the last few months while I’ve just been at home, but I’m back working and having the worst flare. I’ve only ever had two flares prior to this but this is my first flare while actively on biologics. Seems like all of them have been triggered by overdoing things at work. Has anyone here had any luck with disability? I feel very sad that I’m even having to consider the fact that I might not be physically capable of working a full time job at the ripe age of 25, but it may just be a reality I have to figure out. Any tips or sharing would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated!
