Hello, I had originally planned to walk the Primitivo in early June. However, I then looked at the pilgrim statistics for the route (the numbers are growing by 5-20% every year) and read through the firsthand accounts here in the forum, including stories about people having to take taxis to reach the nearest available accommodation. It would be fine with me to switch to a hotel every now and then, but is it the case that, at times, even *that* isn't possible anymore?

Could this situation be mitigated by starting in Oviedo on a Wednesday?

I have little desire for the constant uncertainty of whether I’ll even be able to find a place to sleep. I wouldn't sleep outdoors, given the likelihood of rain.
