SoCal restaurant owners — how are you keeping your kitchen cool this summer?

Running a pizza kitchen and the heat this summer is no joke. Back of house gets brutal during dinner service with the ovens and fryers going full blast.

What are you guys actually doing to keep your kitchen and staff cool? Fans, swamp coolers, portable AC, scheduling changes — what's actually working?

Appreciate any real world advice.

I own Ameci Pizza Kitchen on Culver Drive and I genuinely want your honest feedback - good or bad

Hey Irvine,

My name is Ali and I took over managing Ameci Pizza Kitchen about a year ago. We've been in West Park since 1994 - most of you have probably driven past us or ordered from us at some point.

I've been working hard to improve the restaurant - new oven, remodeling, updated recipes, better quality ingredients, better customer service, and I want to know honestly what our customers actually think. Not the polished review version.

So I'm asking directly: if you've ordered from us, what do you think? What did we do well? What was disappointing? What would make you order from us more often? What stops you from ordering from us at all?

I can take it. Honest feedback - even if it's harsh - is more valuable to me than a five star review that doesn't tell me anything.

Thanks Irvine - genuinely 🙏🏾

Hiring Cashier for Local Pizzeria Near UCI

Hey guys - we’re a local pizzeria located near UCI and looking for someone who genuinely loves people and takes pride and making customers feel welcome.

This isn’t just the cashier job you’re the face of our restaurant. You’re the reason our regulars come back and you’re the difference between someone choosing us over Domino’s.

We’re looking for someone who lights up when a customer walks in. Someone who remembers names asks about peoples days and makes every interaction feel warm and genuine. Someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t need to be told twice to put their phone away. Someone who understands great customer service and loves interacting with people.

This position offers $20 per hour plus tips. Our cashiers typically take home $23-$24 per hour all in.

Looking for someone part-time that can slowly turn into full-time.

Please let me know if you’re interested.
