Credits for Reviews

On Appsumo, certain tools exhibit a substantial volume of favorable reviews. Some really deserve them.

I received an email from Reoon Email Verifier offering to add credits to my account in exchange for a review on G2.

I am aware that Katteb uses a similar strategy.

Have you encountered any "Get credits for review" offers? If so, from which tools?

What are your thoughts on this practice?

I was blocked by the AppSumo CEO for asking one question. Here it is again.

I recently asked the AppSumo CEO a straightforward question: Can AppSumo name a single instance where it legally forced a non-US company to honour its original lifetime deal contract?

Instead of an answer, I was blocked.

I had provided a list of deals that fell apart with no legal enforcement—Airmeet, GoZen, MagicForm, Oode, EmailDelivery, Sellix, OdioAI, Upscale, Uteach—and encouraged the community to check the reviews and draw their own conclusions. The CEO's final response was to block me, not to provide the example requested.

If the answer to my question existed, it would have been easy to share. The fact that a block was the response speaks volumes.

I still believe buyers deserve transparency about what happens when a deal goes wrong. If a contract can't be enforced, that should be disclosed upfront.

My challenge remains open to anyone from AppSumo. One example. Not a renegotiation, not a PR statement—legal enforcement.

Challenge still stands.

A Challenge

After seeing endless cancelled projects and abandonware, I'm done.

Most AppSumo deals these days come from certain countries outside the US, so whatever agreements or contracts you sign aren't worth the paper they're written on—just wasted paper.

If AppSumo can show me a single instance where they've actually forced a non-US business to honor its legal obligations, I'll quit Reddit and publicly apologize.

But we all know that's never happened.
