Need Some Honest Feedback on a New Idea

So, long story short, I've built an invite-only website where members get access to trade pricing on music gear.

The idea isn't to make money from selling the gear itself—it's to offer a membership that gives people access to prices they wouldn't normally be able to get.

I'd love to get some honest feedback. Is this something you'd be interested in? Do you think musicians, producers, and studios would pay for access to genuine trade prices? Any thoughts, concerns, or ideas are more than welcome.

Would love some feedback on a music gear idea

I've been working on a side project and wanted to get some opinions from people who actually buy and use recording gear.

The basic idea is an invite-only website where members get access to trade pricing from suppliers on music equipment. The membership would be the product rather than making money from selling the gear itself.

I'm not trying to promote anything—I genuinely want to know whether this solves a problem people actually have.

A few questions:

  • Would access to genuine trade pricing be valuable to you?
  • Would you rather pay a small membership fee or just shop through normal retailers?
  • Is there anything that would make you immediately dismiss the idea?

I'm still in the early stages, so I'd really appreciate any honest feedback or criticism. I'd rather hear what's wrong with the idea now than after spending months building it.
