I have a distinct memory of an audio book I listened to years ago that I can not remember the name of. If I remember correctly it's was memoir style book and the narrator was recalling things from her childhood to teenage years and adulthood.
I believe her name or middle name was Faye and this was something her father picked out? The narrator had a complicated relationship with her father and always felt deep rooted sense of shame and embarrassment around him. At one point as a child she does a naked cartwheel in front of him after getting out of the bath. I remember there also being a scene where her and some childhood friends find her father's gun and she gets in big trouble for this. I also remember her talking about abortion once she was a teenager?
Really curious what this book was and would love to revisit it.
