This is easily the worst order I have ever seen on here
Like be so real. Who is taking this? I’ve never seen an order with this many heavy items and such low pay and no tip. Look at the second photo

Hey guys, I want to talk to you about something I’ve been noticing with pre-tips, because I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
Yesterday I picked up four orders. Three of them showed pre-tips of $20, $17, and $8 — $45 in expected tips between those three orders alone.
None of those tips appeared in my earnings yesterday or this morning.
I contacted Shipt and was told to request a tip audit. I specifically asked them not to give me a generic response because I wanted to know what happened to the specific pre-tips I saw on these orders.
They did the audit and came back saying there were “no unpaid tips” on my orders.
That still doesn't answer my question: What happened to the $20, $17, and $8 pre-tips that were displayed when I accepted those orders?
Shipt told me that customers who pre-tip have up to two hours after delivery to change their tip. If the customer doesn't change it, then where does that pre-tip go? And if the customer DOES change or remove it, why isn't the shopper notified somehow? We're left wondering for days whether the tip is coming, whether the customer changed it, or whether something else happened.
This is not the first time I've experienced missing pre-tips or tips in general even from preferred client, but yesterday was the point where I got really frustrated because we're talking about $45 in tips that influenced my decision to take those orders. And I also have to fix my car to be able to keep working. And without those $45 I only made $36 in based pay which doesn't help me whatsoever to pay for the $150.00 car repair.
So I'm going to start documenting everything from now on.
If this also happens to you, when you see a pre-tip on an order, take a screenshot before you accept it. Then document what you actually receive after delivery and whether/when the tip eventually appears.
We currently don't have enough transparency to know what is happening to these pre-tips, and Shipt's generic responses aren't answering the question.
If other shoppers are experiencing this too, start documenting it. Screenshots and actual order-by-order records are a lot more useful than all of us just saying, “This keeps happening to me.”
Let's see what the actual data shows.
I’ve somehow made it through 7 years as shopper without receiving one of these, until yesterday. I did 8 orders yesterday and woke up to a fresh 3 star with the feedback being unspecified. I know for certain it was someone from yesterday as I’ve been on vacation the past 3 weeks. Every order went smoothly. I communicated as normal, quadruple checked everything as normal, followed all the instructions as normal. RF already denied 3X this morning.
I’ve seen that it’s nearly impossible to get these forgiven, but damn this sucks. Waiting for this to fall off is going to take so much time with how limited orders are even with perfect stats.
Do any of the super vets have any ideas how best to approach this? Or do I just take the L and wait (and lose income) for this to fall off? Do I just black list everyone from yesterday?
Anybody else not a fan? I’m going to guess this had to take effect due to incidents where shoppers were stealing. It happened at the Meijer on my zone. Lady walked out with $400 worth of groceries. She was caught but ever since then I’ve had a couple of the self checkout associates far irritated about me bagging everything as I shopped and explained it was due to the lady who was caught shoplifting. So then what exactly will they need to scan? Higher priced items? Or just random items and then send you on your merry way?
Took a few blank tip orders and was rated a 3 star and a one star back to back despite being communicative and delivering all of the items. Now these are the only orders I see. I have a 4.94 rating now btw.
That’s a heck of a lot more than 50 miles! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can’t believe there isn’t another Target between Portland and southern Oregon. (This is sarcasm.)
I saw this order and was amazed to see it sit in available orders for so long until I actually looked at what's in the order At what price point would you even consider a 25 minute drive with a mini fridge?
It irks me when I communicate I'm doing something, and it's replied with "ok". Most people say thanks, thumbs up, or not replying at all. Each is perfectly acceptable.
But I read ok like ok peasant, you have my leave to proceed with your mundane task. Keep me informed of further updates, or it's the gallows for you.
Look, we appreciate some response to know you see our 1st message. It's kinda nice when you say thanks (but don't overdo it, it's a flag for no/low tip and just distracting)
But if it's between ok or nothing, please choose no response.
Thank you, rant over.
PS. Also avoid replying "fine" to a substitute message. Fine, substitute? Or fine that it's no stock? And from being married, I know fine isn't fine.
Did this order on Sunday I mean maybe I’ll get a tip eventually but if not that’s just terrible. It was 72 item order with a ton of food and perishables. Just disrespectful that i put in all that work get a few substitutes say on my way deliver to your door and get nothing. A $400 order should be a minimum $10-15 tip no questions asked it’s just insane. You clearly have the money so just give even 5% of the order total
I know generally the weekdays are rough for Shipt but my god this is partly why. 20.3 miles driving (construction on the highway it wants us to take) for less than 1$ a mile? AFTER PROMO???
I'm doing a shipt order and someone ordered what looks like 5 bunches of bananas. I was wondering if that means they want 5 of these bunches or just 5 individual bananas. I already messaged the customer and got no response so wondering what I should do
Wow! I love my preferred! Been doing shipt for a year and people like this is what make shipt worth it❤️when they appreciate your shopping.
I don't usually care alot about stats anymore but the 4 stars are setting me back. In the last week or so I got maybe like 4 of the 4 star rating and I keep thinking back on what I could've done wrong and I am on time and I'm 100% on time, I communicate about items and I try to bag them as well as I can. I went from a 4.9 to a 4.78 recently and I really am not sure. I am 100% on on time and reliability :/ none of the customers left me any feed back either. Also every order I delivered I got tips so I am not really sure why I keep getting the ratings poorly. Have anyone tried to ask for rating forgiveness? I tried last time but it says it doesn't impact my rating. My status on shipt went from excellent to fair now
EDIT: shipt have responded to me and my ratings are forgiven.
I usually get tipped on the majority of my orders. It seems at about 80%. I know some come in like two weeks later which is crazy to me, but still, I receive them. Over the past three days now I've completed 13 orders and not a single tip received on any of them. This doesn't feel normal. I feel like I should have at least gained one by now. Is something up with the app? I guess it's a nice surprise when a tip you forgot about or weren't expecting pops up, but it's frustrating when you just have to assume you've earned nothing. I wish they could put a shorter time frame on the tip aspect. I guess it's just the not knowing that bothers me. I've done Amazon Flex and any tipped orders are automatically settled within 27 hours.
I was almost attacked my a huge dog after delivering an order and on my way back to my vehicle. I used all the adrenaline in me to run and when I finally made it to the safety of my van, I looked back and the customer is standing in her doorway with a smirk on her face and shouted “sorry!” She went back in her house, closed her door and left the dog sitting in her front lawn UNLEASHED. I immediately got the he** outta there and reported it to Shipt and requested to be unpaired with the crazy lunatic, which they successfully approved . I also brought up the safety of other shoppers delivering to this customer.
Yall be safe out there. Here is Shipt’s email response regarding this incident.
I am a shopper but also order target delivery often. I made an order yesterday for about 10 items, mainly made it because I was out of dog food. A shopper I’ve never seen before accepted my order and his profile picture was a cartoon character. Kind of thought that was strange that was allowed but whatever. He shopped 2 of my items and then messages that the store doesn’t have my dog food and doesn’t send a substitute option nor a picture of the shelf (this is important later!). I messaged him and said “Is there any way you can ask an associate if there’s any in the back? I know that’s a pain and I’m so sorry but I’m completely out and it shows 4 in stock so just want to double check”. (I know the app is NOT accurate always but my store typically has stock in the back. I always ask an associate to check for items that the app still shows in stock and are important/non substitutable items. Just saying that for my specific store, the associates are kind and usually we find back stock). This man has the audacity to respond with “I don’t know what to tell you. There is no more. I already told you that.” So I messaged support and got my order canceled because there’s absolutely no reason to speak to a customer that way, especially when I apologized for being a pain! If he didn’t want to ask an associate, he could’ve just lied and said I’m sorry I double checked but there’s no more. But no, he had to be rude. And here’s the kicker: I drove directly to the store after this, arrived maybe 20 minutes later. And they were indeed out of the size bag I ordered, but they had a smaller bag of the same exact food right next to it on the shelf! And he never offered that, even though the app would’ve showed that as the first substitute option. I was so angry, this job is not that hard and it is absolutely shoppers like that that give shoppers a bad name.
Just want to get this off my chest, as not only being a customer but also a shopper as well.
My rant as a shopper: “No order is Ordinary”
Declining Base Pay, delayed or missing tips, no show of tip amounts.
Unclear rating feedback, late delivery policies, strict rating.
New shopper priority and over saturation of hires. Major decreases in milestone rewards as well as tier rewards and completion requirements. Pairing of PMs with non-tippers or undesirable orders. Scheduling of particular orders (multiple drop off windows)
Unresponsive customers, excessive or lack of communication, gate codes, expectations (unload groceries in customers home)
Heavy (mule) orders, uncompensated mileage, wear and tear on vehicle, weather factors (IE 115 degrees outside, rain/flash flood, etc)
Unannounced updates on Shipt application causing loss of orders or cannot complete (no testing), forgiveness rating depending auto denied, lack of consistent quality support.
It’s been a few months since I have picked up an order. I lost top tier status as I missed it by two orders (were promo orders but didn’t appear as promo until after). I received a tip almost 1 1/2 months after the fact, and had to wait a couple weeks for auto forgiveness due to Shipt’s issues with their app not working. I’m not trying to deter anyone from shopping or customers from ordering, I just need to release this again to both shoppers and customers that say this is an easy “job” to do. You may be surprised how much is involved with multiple orders and obligations/ expectations and thrust upon us.
My rant as a customer:
My order is setting for a couple hours not getting picked up and yet I tip 20% + miles. I have dealt with smoke smelling groceries, rotten produce, non communicating shoppers. I had incredible PMs (3 of them) and they are not getting my order - just new people.
I can’t rant anymore as I just simply stopped ordering and just now go get my own groceries.
Look Shipt! You lost a quality shopper and a customer at the same time! How many more will it take before something in this so called system will break?
Rant over. Best wishes to Shoppers and Customers who actually use the system as it was intended!
My mom uses Shipt and has a favorite shopper. She says everytime she gets her groceries delivered, her shopper sends her this cute graphic (pictured).
I tried making my own and doing the same thing but it seems the app doesn’t let you send your own pictures to the Customer. Is this something that you earned overtime?
What percentage of publix orders would you say come in through shipt?
Does anyone have issues with their map not loading all addresses? This is something that I've just been dealing with, but hopefully someone can help. I'm currently sitting here trying to update and add a tip that came in from 08/12, and my addresses are going from 08/15 and skipping back to July. Usually try refreshing a bunch and they slowly load a few more addresses at a time, but it's currently not working, any advice?
