Looking for Chinese SUV alternatives to the Nissan Patrol
I’m currently looking for a large, bulky Chinese SUV that is comparable in size/presence to a Nissan Patrol.
So far, I’ve looked at the Jetour G700 and ROX 01. I actually really liked the G700 overall, but I’m not a big fan of its exterior design.
My budget is roughly AED 250,000–300,000, and I’m open to going slightly above if the car is genuinely worth it.
I feel like I might be missing some options. I’ve seen suggestions for the BYD Leopard 8, Tank 700, Denza B8, M-Hero 817, Lynk & Co 900, etc., but I’d like to know what is actually worth considering in this price range.
What would you shortlist if you were in my position?
Also interested in hearing from actual owners about reliability, comfort, UAE after-sales, resale value and overall driving experience.
The main thing for me is size + road presence + premium feel. I don’t want something that feels like a smaller SUV.
