Why would a very introverted friend suddenly start distancing himself from me?

I (male, in my late 20s) have a friend, X (male in his early 30s), whom I've known for 4 years. He's a very introverted and withdrawn person. For most of the time we've known each other, he was usually happy to go along with plans I suggested, such as beer on pub or going to cinema.

At one point, he told me that although he sometimes attends public social events in the city, he hasn't formed any close relationships with the people he meets there. He told me that I was his only close friend, which I had suspected for quite some time. I've found him polite, but extremely reserved.

What seems suspicious is that X has never even tried to invite a girl on a date (he told me this), even though he is already over 30. He is not gay. His social skills have always seemed very poor. He is like a quiet awkward kid.

Earlier this year, I introduced X to another friend of mine, Y, whom I've known for a while and have a good relationship with. Since then, the three of us have started hanging out together on various occasions, such as birthdays and other events, roughly once a month.

I still meet Y one-on-one quite regularly between our group meetups. However, I haven't had a one-on-one meeting with X — my friend of 4 years — in more than six months...

There were 3 occasions when I suggested to hang out with him, and every time X turned me down, saying he didn't have time. During last months he never invited me for 1:1 meeting. I didn't think much of it for a long time because X has always been very quiet with poor social skills, but recently it has started to bother me.

I also found out that X sometimes hangs out with Y. What's strange to me is that they don't even have that much in common — one of them is a nerd, while the other isn't. X doesnt have much to share.

My relationship with Y is still very good, but what bothers me is X's behavior.

I have supported X when he was lonely, introduced him to different people, and in some way, I helped make his otherwise lonely life more interesting, although he has never really acknowledged that. I was always nice to him.

Now I feel like he's simply ignoring me. The only time I see him is when the three of us meet. And even then, he's basically the same as he's always been — quiet and not very talkative. Outside of those group meetings, there's almost no contact between us. He is not texting me. It seems rude.

What should I do in this situation? Behavior of X seems imature, even so he is older than me.

Corrected cases database (Schroth exercises results)

I would like to create a database of people who have corrected their (postural) kyphosis using the Schroth method or other rehabilitation exercises. I am mainly interested in testimonials from people who achieved this after adolescence.

The data I am interested in includes: the patient's age, how many months they performed the exercises, how many hours per week, and what the Cobb angle was before and after the treatment. No sensitive personal data is needed.

It is known that reducing spinal curvature is more difficult in adulthood, but there are still cases of people who have successfully achieved this after age of 18. The problem is that many people give up too early during the correction process. Collecting these cases could help motivate people to continue with this method.

If you know any cases (from books, internet or your own), please feel free to share here or contact me via DM.
