Had a live birth last night!
I counted like 10 babies. My sea monkeys are 2 1/2 months old now. This was my 3rd try as they always die before maturity. I hope these little ones grow up! I’m so excited!

I posted yesterday but didn’t include good video so I’ll try again.
One of my sea monkeys turned blue yesterday. She’s even bluer in person. I had added some Nite Out to the tank and fed some live phytoplankton a few hours before it happened. I’m thinking it was the nite out but idk. She looks really pretty and seems to be acting normally.
She just turned blue today and it’s way brighter in person! I topped off the tank with spring water, added Nite Out, and fed live phytoplankton earlier today while she was still beige. Really weird! Hope she doesn’t get sick! It’s been so hard getting a tank to adulthood. I’m guessing maybe she ran into a concentration of Nite Out? Anybody know what could cause this?
I had a die off in one of my tanks so I moved the lone survivor to a glass and started the bigger one over. This little guy doesn’t look like it’s swimming normally. I’m wondering if it’s going to survive.
When I started the new one I noticed the water I used last time was distilled not spring water. Do you think this could have caused them to die a few weeks later?
So the only thing good that came out of my 7 addiction is I have so many points from the vape shop I used most. I had over 2000 points when I quit. I can use them to buy vape juice so at least I can vape for free for a while. Anybody else get a bunch of points? I bet there’s a lot of folks that have more than me.
I already lost one tank from overpopulation so I’m hoping I didn’t hatch too many this time. I just used the little sea monkey spoon full of eggs. My bowl is 64 ounces. Do you think this looks like too many? Chat GPT said a bowl this size could hold 60-100 comfortably. I think there’s about 100.
Is there something in Nite Out that colors the water or something? this is the first tank I’ve used it in and I really feel like I can see the babies better for some reason. Usually I can barely see them at all til they’re bigger. The water looks so clear and kinda blue?
Also how much live phytoplankton and how often should I feed? My research has come up with many different amounts. I tried 10-20 drops and it doesn’t color the water at all and a lot of things say feed when the water is clear but my water is always clear. Also my phytoplankton may or may not be alive. My shipment arrived very hot and I’m hoping they survived. Should I feed less if the phytoplankton is dead?
And I know I had the bubbles too high. I had it on higher til I saw they hatched and now I turned it down.
Thanks for any tips! Trying to learn as much as possible.
I just received my live phytoplankton from algae barn and it is so hot. All the ice packs are warm and everything. Is it dead?I stuck it in the fridge. I don’t have a microscope to look at it. Is there any way to tell? I’m wanting to grow it and feed my sea monkeys. Is it still ok to feed.
I keep losing my sea monkeys after about a week and I think it might be a water quality issue so I ordered some nite out. It will be here today but I’m scared! I finally got 2 to live past 3 weeks and I’m so worried im going to kill them. I have another tank with new hatchlings too.
Has anyone had theirs die after adding nite out? I’m also worried about the amount to add since my tanks are only 16 and 64 ounces and I don’t know how much to add to such small tanks. I’m looking for any advice or tips. Thanks in advance!
These are my 3 week old babies. I’ve been having a hard time keeping any alive this long. I think my last tank died because a small bug got in there so I made some little nets to go over the top.
I had a 2 gallon jar I really liked but I should have listened to Picocosmos when he said you can’t see them good in curved surfaces. But I didn’t listen because I loved that tank and I could never see them at all!
So since they died I went back to my big fishbowl. I just put eggs in there tonight. I keep hatching too many ( maybe that’s why they die?) so this time I put like half a sea monkey spoon worth of eggs? Does that sound right?
That’s the first tank I started and those all died because I added water and it must have been the wrong salinity. (Possibly?)I’m trying really hard and spending a little money so I hope these make it! It’s been pretty fun. I hope I don’t go to hell for killing so many sea monkeys lol.
Idk if I picked the right flair. Sorry if not.
I want to get some phytoplankton for my sea monkeys. Is this right? Also mine just hatched. How old do they need to be before I can feed it to them? I’m worried about over feeding with the powdered stuff but i heard that the newborn’s mouths are too small for phytoplankton.
Me and my 14 year old decided to get some sea monkeys and now I’m into it more than her. Our first batch died in days so I want to make sure I’ve got this right. I don’t want to kill anyone else lol.
The big jar is 2 gallons and the fish bowl is like 16 ounces. There’s just eggs in the big one and 3 day old babies in the small one. I’ve got the light and the bubblers and I’m going to get one of those under tank heaters when it gets cooler out. We even put a shelf up so they could be in the window. I used Instant Ocean aquarium salt and brine shrimp eggs from Amazon.
I’m mainly worried about the amount of bubbles I’ve got going. I have to order a valve so I can adjust them easier. Right now I just have little clips on there to reduce the bubbles because it was crazy at first. I can’t really get the bubbles any lower right now so I’m wondering if I should leave it off til I get the valve.
I got a fish bowl for my sea monkeys but I didn’t have enough water preparing packets to fill it all the way up so it’s only half full. I only had 3 sea monkeys hatch so I bought some brine shrimp eggs off amazon and got some instant ocean salt too. I only put a tiny pinch of eggs in and oh my gosh now it looks like I have hundreds! I want to fill the fish bowl all the way up and start another tank too so they’re not so crowded in there. Do I just mix the salt like it says and then just add it? I don’t have the device to measure salinity. I’m scared I’m going to kill them!
I’m just starting my sea monkey journey and reading how beneficial algae is to them. I live about an hour from the ocean. Can I just get algae there to put in my tank?how would I go about this?
Hi everyone! I just got my first sea monkeys and have been reading on here so I can provide the best care for them I can. Would these work for aeration and heat? They’re kind of cheap so im a little worried.
Me and my ex both quit this poison now and we both noticed a difference in our mouths for lack of a better way to put it. All condiments taste horrible to me. I can’t eat ketchup or tartar sauce etc. and my mouthwash burns my mouth so bad I can barely keep it in 10 seconds. My ex loves cooking and different spices and now he can’t eat anything spicy at all. We’ve both stopped wanting salt too when we used to both love it. 7 killed my appetite and made nothing taste good while I was on it and now this weird shit. Anyone else? Do you think it’s related?
I see so many people complaining about the hair loss and wondering if it’ll grow back. Well I’m 4 months on and just realized a couple weeks ago that my hair isn’t shedding anymore. I used to have a handful after I washed or brushed it and now there’s hardly any! Now today I can really tell a difference in how it’s looking. It’s so thick and healthy looking. I took kratom for 12 years before the 7 and my hair has been thinning since then. Really bad at some points. I can’t believe it’s growing back. I’m so happy. So if you’re dealing with the same give it a few months.
