Want to build an endgame speaker that isn't just a box
Just getting a community vibe check on the styling here, I feel like most speakers either look like ridiculous transformers, cool retro designs (but there's 1000 out there), or they're plain rectangles and boring / ugly. Trying to match the fit and finish of sonus faber but with a more interesting shape like Beolab. Open to thoughts and suggestions, if it's not for you then say so! I am a woodworker and mechanical engineer, so I'm well aware of the challenges associated with especially this shape being made from wood, and the challenges of wood as a speaker material, let's just assume for the sake of argument it can be done.
If you have any favorite boutique real wood speakers I'd love to hear about them.
Would use a 9.5" woofer and 5" midrange from one of the Scandinavian manufactuers.
