I played this game a few years ago and got to where I needed to max out enemy health and damage to keep it interesting. I took a couple years off and started a playing again. I was having a very hard time and was thinking "surely it was not this hard when I played before."
During the quest where you protect the mages in the flashback, I decided to lower the difficulty because my guy kept dying on round 3. That is when I saw the maxed-out settings.
