/rant I've been eyeing a Frank Lloyd Wright Bulova for some time and I saw a great deal on one on Jomashop. I've never ordered from them but I know many people have, so I pulled the trigger. They said that it "usually ships in 1-2 weeks" and it ended up being 18 days, but whatever, it was finally going to be mine!

As a bonus, it arrives Saturday morning before I leave for a 4 day work trip...but it's DOA.

I pull out the crown to set the time and I hear something every time the minute hand passes 12 o'clock. Something like when a date complication ticks over, but not exactly. When I push the crown back in to wind it, the winding feels almost gritty. After many turns nothing happens so I try flicking it to wind it with the rotor, and the seconds hand moves a few seconds while I'm doing this. It ends up moving about 15 seconds over three "jumps" but it's not sweeping. The balance wheel is definitely not moving so I put it on my winder and come back after a few back and forth cycles (since the Miyota 82S0 only winds one direction) and still nothing.

So now it's back to Jomashop. I'm disappointed to have waited so long only to be shipped a broken watch. Thanks for letting me vent!
